Welcome, welcome, welcome. I am dialgarocksful, and I'm here to spread the popular builds of my co-Filipino PC builders. I listed builds that are usually asked by beginners that are starting to get their first rig.

I do have some staple parts list here like the SSD, HDD, case, and PSU. Here in the Philippines, we are limited to Corsair CX/CXM and Seasonic S12/M12 units as a budget PSU. HDD is also a preference between getting a Seagate Barracuda or Western Digital Caviar Blue since the two have almost the same price, with nearly $1 differences between multiple stores. For SSD, my staple Adata SP900 128GB costs around the same price as of the HDD, but builders have multiple variants so feel free to change it to a Samsung 850 EVO, Intel Pro series, and the likes.

For the case, it's really the user preference as whether the builder wants more airflow optimization, bigger window side panel, or go for a small basic case designed for mATX boards with top-mounted PSU and minimal space for multiple drives. We have a local case company called Tecware which introduces budget-friendly cases like:

  • Tecware Alpha -- An NZXT S340 variant with a PSU shroud, 2 removable 5.25" drive bays, 2 120/140mm fan slots in front, and a huge side window.

  • Tecware Infinity -- A Corsair SPEC-01 variant with 3 tool-less 5.25" drive bays, 3 3.5" HDD bays, 2 SSD bays (1 is behind the motherboard tray), and 1 120mm slot on top, back, side, and front. Due to the 120mm fan bay on its side, the windowed panel used an L-shaped window instead of a standard square/rectangular window.

On the other hand, if you want an mATX case, there is Deepcool Smarter which cost less than the listed Fractal Design Core 1000. It costs around P1000 ($20-23)

Anyways, enjoy your stay here and feel free to message me privately or leave a comment if you want to inquire on something about the builds. Happy looking~
