I have no idea. Both appear to work flawlessly. have yet to have a problem.
Subjectively speaking, it's pretty quiet. I can't hear it (I don't even think they spin) below a certain threshold. After that, it is not too bad. At worst, it's comparable to a light buzz. I can't speak to the issues you are describing. Whereas I have not experienced those issues, I could have just gotten some lucky examples.
I would probably take the Zotac AMP! Extreme over the 1080 OCG. I just got it for unity with my motherboard. If you have no such brand loyalty, go with the Zotac. Maybe even splurge on a cheaper 1080ti instead of a really expensive 1080. Depends on your needs.
Hah! 4 Razer Products? You have barely begun.
Also, do you like that chair?
So why spend $7600 and not include an m.2?
How's that Logitech mouse treating you? Have you seen the Razer Lancehead?
I am going to disagree with you 100%. The watercooling system should dominate - show everyone whose build is in charge.
Out of interest, why EVGA power supply instead of the Thermaltake, VR ready one that is RGB?
needs more. You must attempt RAID 10
you should add a picture of your entire setup including monitors and peripherals and stuff.
Also, why like 4 types of fans?
Maybe pick a windowless case next time lol. Specs are really good tho, nice build. Loved the motherboard and 1800x.
I will implore you to download CAM, and to disable the NZXT logo lighting. That way, the ring LED is still showing, but the logo wont. This will make it look like it's on right.
I have that same mousepad, the same GPU, and the same chair. Nice build.
looks like you could have fit a much larger water block. Also, you informed me that Zotac makes SSDs. Huh.
Anyway, looks good. But why have 5 SSDs rather than a couple larger ones?
My favorite black and white motherboard, the best 1080ti, arguably the best water cooler for that size (QC for X62s is a bit sketchy). Solid all around. Out of interest, given that you spent 4k, why not an m.2? Doesn't need to be a 2TB 960 Pro ($1300), but wouldnt these have been faster than your current SSDs?
you should take a green marker or paint or something and cover the red AX. The only flaw I see, and it is very small. Great build.
another suggestion, if you dont like how it looks sideways, is disable the LEDs in the center (but keep the ring enabled) around the thing
Welcome to the Razer master race.
Let me get this straight... You have a double watercooled build, a 336$ case, but only 250GB of SSD...
yeah so i am just getting screwed by the monopoly-having wifi companies
I can take you up on that. 960 Evo should be good enough.
i get 30 mbps on ethernet powerline... i pay for 300....
maybe he wants to have 17000 chrome tabs open at the same time, while video rendering, while playing VR games?
What are those speakers, and why do you need two speakers, both bigger than your face + neck + chest?
why the red GPU when going for RGB?
Bery similar to my build, actually. It looks very good, but seems dark across the bottom. Maybe add an LED strip down there that's AURA compatible? Maybe even a custom GPU Backplate from V1Tech. Those aren't RGB, however, so that would only work if you typically stick with one color.
please stop making him regret the 6900k. It'll do him well for years to come.
doesn't look better, or is not easier?
why not just buy straight tubes and get those 90 degree fittings? I honestly think that looks better and seems easier...
The pictures shown feel like a teaser that a car company might show before an unveil lol.
It's alright, I guess. I may be wrong, but don't they make Xeon processors with 3.5Ghz clock speeds, or do they not really go that high for the higher core counts?
How does one get rid of that? This isn't a moral question, but rather wondering if the plan is just to stick some putty over it or something.
I'm not necessarily saying that. I would say you could either get a case with some nice LEDs (again, the 570X and the 805 Infinity both have a lot of RGB lighting), would allow you to keep the black theme, but still have a substantial third color. Plus, you could go with a black/white/color build, where the color is RGB. This makes it less monotonous, and isn't too bad on the eyes either.
You would go MSI Gaming Titanium/G.Skill Black and White RAM 3200/Zotac 1080/etc.
TBH I got an M.2.. Didn't think it would be as useful as it is. For instance, most of the time, booting takes less than 20 seconds. Games launch instantly. I went from some crappy laptop SSD though to the 960 EVO, so I missed a lot of the comparisons in between. Not sure.
What annoys me is that I looked at the benchmarks. For instance, i play GTA V a lot. One 1080 gets about 54-56 FPS at 4k resolution. Of course, when paying that much already, I would expect 60. Unmovable 60. The Titan X is able to get mostly 60, the 1080ti is too, but the former is $1200 and the latter was not our yet. So I got 2x 1080s. "But you could have gotten 2x 1070s and would have saved $400!" True, but then performance in games with poorly optimized SLI would not do as well. In summary, no 1080ti makes me sad.
It's good, but there are a few changes I'd make. I will try to suggest one set of changes that keeps the net cost around the same, and one that costs more, but with better performance.
If you want to spend more...
plus u can get the industrial ones if you care.
Out of interest, why the razer case if you chose a corsair keyboard, the most visible peripheral?
Well regardless, I did want to say this is one of the nicest builds I have ever seen. I love the straight tubing with the 90 degree turns. Makes it look a lot cleaner imo.
It works at the same time, but they use different softwares. You can control both, but I would NOT recommend any NZXT products due to terrible customer service and poor QC. Get an H115i, H110i v2, or even a Swifttech Model.
Are you really running those GPUs at just 1610 Hz? Have you tried any serious overclcoking?
two of those are actually possible. @VR Ready Thermaltake Power Supplies
tbh i made that parts list a month or two ago. Just got around to making this. Not sure what that was for, but that sounds right, actually.
Well, technically that was $16. I think I just can't type lol
It's just the vibration pads and whatnot that you can buy from Noctua in black.
I mean, I think it is the best 27 inch 4k monitor on the market, especially with G-Sync. You need to decide if you want G-Sync. If you do, then you only really have two options: The ROG and the PREDATOR. Check those out. If you do not, then you have a ton of options and a cheaper screen will do. It's up to you. That being said, I don't know how much I want to get into recording...
There's little to no blacklight bleed, from what I can tell.
maybe 45 minutes... i only get to make one of these per build, trying to make it worth it.
One thing I should add - I have never seen anything at or above 70 celsius. I haven't even seen the processor go over 55 or so, and that was when it was video processing.
I can, however, tell you that it looks very good. Though that comes from someone who has never had a desktop, so take it with a grain of salt.
I am going to be frank here. I am not good with any of that stuff. It looks good. I chose this for the small bezel and the fact that I could get a solid discount on it. Monitors are too expensive atm tbh. I would say any 4k Gaming Monitor With G-Sync would be ideal, which narrowed my choices down to just thw ASUS ROG and the ACER PREDATOR.
Forgot to change that! Basically, my friend screwed me on that one. Told me to return the two slot to get the four slot. I did that, but realized I needed the three slot. Didn't care enough to send it back again.
I kinda already came up with that. It sounds like Chrome Adict....
In random news, I really dislike chrome. Blacking everything out is almost strictly better.
tbh, and I am sorry to let everyone down, I don't think so. If it was possible to buy a prebuilt computer from Dell or something that had the same specs, I would probably have gone with that. Building it was a terrible, frustrating experience. Although I know there are some prebuilt ones that do such a thing, most are red which doesn't match anything I have. Oh well...
