Have a look at the Logitech G Pro Wireless.

It's the best wireless mice I've used so far and it's not toooo much gamer. You can also disable the led in the Logitech SW

I was curious about just the same thing. The drawer looks alot like something that'd come from IKEA, thus I checked their site.

It's called an ALEX Desk... I knew the drawer from my ALEX Drawers... :)

If I were to build in a Silverstone - GD09B HTPC Case, which ATX Mainboard would you recommend. I don't need a WiFi Adapter, since I'll be using ETHERNET only.

Thanks a bunch!

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Yeah, I just compared the two cases and it's not that much bigger, I somehow expected it to be a lot bigger... not sure why

Also I already got the Samsung SSD on a very good deal, thus I won't be moving to any other ssd

Thanks for your reply.

Well, I am aware that I could go much cheaper. An old and used Computer from EBAY or similar site would probably do just fine as well.

However I am a man who is pleased by astethics and the plan is to mount the barebone unti behind the screen, which will be mounted to a wall.... :P

Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit Must say, good for gaming. It does seem a little intrusive with all the monitoring. I turned off as much as i could and have not introduced myself to Cortana. Nor have i signed up for a Microsoft Account. Microsoft is like a friend who wont go home. Thank you for the operating system MS, it works well, but you can go home now.

Best. Description. For. Microsoft. Ever. :D

I only read positive feedback from the Dell S2716DG 27” Also if you like playing FPS, even if not competitve - 144Hz does in fact make a big difference.

However if you prefer saturated colors and a really big monitor you're better of with one of the others.

I for myself will never go back from 144Hz, I notice the difference even while browsing in the internet. Might just be my stupid imagination, but it feels a lot smoother....

Thanks for the answer, hence I'm having the same pair of headphones I'm still reconsidering using them again. Currently using a Wireless H from Steelsteries. Before I used them with a Zalman 10$ Mic. However that was too much cables....

What kinda stand do you have for your microphone and do you always switch in Windows from your speakers to headset + microphone?

Thanks a bunch!

Thanks :) Meanwhile I've already read quite a lot and I think I understand pretty much everything I have to.

Now I am just not sure whether I should go with a FAN controller or simply hook them through my msi motherboard.

Before I'll get any additional fans, I'll build my pc together this coming weekend. After that I still can decide whether I'll be needing to change fans...

Thanks, this could probably be the best explanation on the internet now! Much appreciated.

I definitely will be going for PWM only.

I currently went through shops to see if I can find any fitting LED fans...

Now I am wondering.. There's 4 different options. What's the difference btw 3pin and 4pin pwm?

2pin

3pin

4pin Molex

4pin PWM

I've also seen converter for 4pin to 3pin, so I could still get 3pin fans and just use a converter / splitter to run them through the motherboard, right?

Ah okay.. I thought that front mounted fans would push air through the radiator and help the 2 fans mounted on the radiator, but if it's a waste, I'll skip those.

Okay, didn't know that. Thanks alot for the explanation, I'm so happy I asked. Otherwise I most certainly would have gotten the wrong fans! I'll be going for PWM fans only.

I most likly will not be able to have a bottom fan though, since I'll be placing a HD cage there. Similar to this build: https://cdn.pcpartpicker.com/static/forever/images/userbuild/149949.27d078387ec711eb00d839603d1d694d.4a5bc6311730664274f881d312a05870.1600.jpg

maybe i'll just put 2 exhaust fans on top and one at rear, so i'd still have the 5 pwm fan pins used i also plan to make this build look nice, so first i wanted to have the top closed, but guess ill make an exception on that :)

Thanks alot for your reply Ri53!

Helps alot :). I'll be going for 5, since I'll only be overclocking my CPU. The GTX 980Ti shouldn't get into heat trouble.

Would you mind answering one last question.

The PWM fans that act as intake / push pull - are they always running on full speed or are you controlling them through the case fan regulation thingy? Are you happy with the fans you're using in terms of noise?

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Advice for Fans - For an H100i GTX & Fractal Define R5"

First of all. A huge "Thank you". This is exactly what makes me come back to this site and check if someone posted in my topic.

Okay, so if I understand correctly..

I should get 2x 120mm PWM fans for the radiator, that are facing inside. The Fractal Design R5 Case still has room for the fans out of the door, I've seen it in a setup.

So I'd put 2 PWM fans directly on the radiator (obviously 2x 120mm) and 2x 140mm quiet fans on the front of the case. + 1x 140mm mounted to the rear of the case pulling air out, so I'd have a kinda flow thro.

...or is this again a bad idea? :P

Also... I read somewhere that PWM always run at "full speed", but with the h100i gtx is it possible to control them through corsair link... or? because if they always run at full speed, it'd be a shame... especially since the fractal r5 also has a fan controller (that I'd prefer to use for the 3x 140mm fans)

Thanks alot, your help is much appreciated!

Hey Ri53,

I am currently planning a similar build setup. Thanks to you I could already verify, that I can move one HD cage just before the PSU. (Thanks :p)

Just out of curiousity, I saw that you bought 5x 140mm fans and 2x 120mm fans. Am I assuming correctly, that you used 2x 120mm on the radiator / case inside and 2x 140mm at the front of the case? If yes, am I also correct that you "intake" the airflow? I guess another 140mm fan is at the rear of the case and you ended up not using the 2x 140mm PWM?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, you would really help me alot!

Okay, I think 4.0 Ghz would be fine then. Maybe I'll switch to AOI Watercooling, so I could go with an even higher overclock.

I love the look of the x99s msi motherboard, especially because I aim for a black / red build :)

So I guess I just need to re-thing about cooling and not too sure on the memory I chose anyway

Thanks alot Atron.

Is it realistic to get an overclock of approximately stable 4 - 4.2ghz out of an MSI x99 SLI Motherboard? Maybe this one: http://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/X99A-SLI-PLUS.html#hero-overview

Should I switch out the cooler or is it still fine under mentioned circumstances?

Do you plan on updating your system as well? Maybe you can give information on how much you'd like to spend for an SSD and how big it should be..

That it is going to enhance rendering time and so on is without doubt. However, it also seems your system has already quite the age...

Not sure if older CPU's could bottleneck your SSD... don't think so though

I have mostly dark and red (gfx card) components and I plan to put in some red led lights as well. What liquid cooling would be easy and good?

Since I'm also aiming for a silent build, it should be something not giving off too much noise... :)

Suggestions?

I am still not sure for myself either, but I think going with 1 980 Ti and upgrading with another 980 Ti in like 2 - 3 Years from today is the better option. Also since you have the 6GB VRAM and not only 4GB VRAM of the 980er.
