Do you use the camera on your phone a lot? If not, the OnePlus 7T is a better buy in my opinion.

You can't go wrong with any of those options. With the MSI laptop the mobo is flipped so if you want to replace something or repaste the cpu and gpu you'd have to completely disconnect it and turn it. People are always complaining about Razor's quality control with it's products but I'm not sure how true these complaints are. about a year ago I bought a used Razer Blackwidow 2013 keyboard for $15 and it works like new. All of them get pretty toasty. Anouther laptop you may want to conisder is the Eluktronics Mag-15: https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-MAG-15-GeForce-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B07X97NLJV/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

I don't know, I'd have to find out. My plan isn't fancy or anything at all tho, just the a simple "unlimited" plan from Metro by T-Mobile, formerly known as just Metro PCS. Also what is win98 speeds? Search results only show how to check the speeds and stuff on windows 98.

If I remember correctly iPhones from any country have the bands to have good connection in almost any carrier in the world, because of this there's no "NA model" or "European model", which may explain why he has connection. I'm not sure if Google does the same with their Pixels.

First, in what country are you in and how much is it there? Oxygen OS is skin of Android Oneplus uses which is similar to stock Android but with more features. The 7 will be cheaper than the 7 pro but I heard some regions will get the 7 and others the pro. It may also be worth looking into alternatives such as the Zenfone 6, or the ZTE Axon 10 Pro

No, even with the MBP 13" 2015's proprietary SSD standard you can get a 480gb one for $200, and a 240gb one for $130.

Damn, I guess the prices have lowered since I've last seen them. I'm not sure it's worth upgrading this machine though. I'll see what my temps are like with that software but I'm not sure how to install it :/

Well you never know when you'd need ports until you finally need it. I have a total of 10 USB slots in the front and the max I think I've used at a time is maybe 4. I just noticed it also has an m.2 slot when I went to check how many ports it had to write my previous comment so that's a plus. I like to trouble shoot PCs and try to fix them, although most of the PCs I see are older desktops with hard drives or laptops with no removable storage except those with a 2.5" hard drive which the front e-sata port will be very handy for diagnostics regarding the storage drive as well as those with 2.5" SSD. I'm still surprised I have an external M.2 slot lol.

As for combing storage drives, I think going for raid 0 would be better, although thats an interesting guide.

Well I see him transferring large files more often which may be better suited for the MX500 compared to the 660p which may be better suited for short burst tasks that don't benefit from a cache.

Yea your right about speed, but I'm not sure the trade off from a drive with higher peak speed is better than one with a more consistent read/write speed with the MX500's 1gb cache.

well, if a cpu upgrade is needed, I'd look at the 7nm APUs coming later this year or next year which may also be cheaper in a few years and will probably be rated for 65 watts. I'd guess a storage upgrade or a gpu may be added in the future. Maybe something to fill up the second 5.25" bay, I installed a port hub in my Fractal Design Focus G for example, it brought 6 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, e-sata, sata, an M.2 slot, and more connectors I've never heard of.

I'm also considering that, I'm not sure if they still do this but some pc OEMs restrict future upgrades physically or through software. It's not certain yet if any upgrades will be made over time or if a new system will be built when this doesn't cut it anymore.

yea the thing is he works with a lot of documents and having 2 drives may make his workflow a bit more disorganized. His previous pc looked kinda messy to me with documents everywhere in the desktop, in several folders, etc. but he knew his way around it so it may not be as bad as I think but after the hdd of his previous pc failed, the chance for successful data recovery was very small and expensive. I'm not sure what he may think of this to be honest. It looks great to me though and for nearly the same price of the gt 710, I'd just go to r/hwardwareswap and pick up a used gtx 750 or gtx 950, maybe a gt 1030

I've heard the 660p's performance degrades much more quickly as it fills up compared to other SSDs, and since the pc probably won't have any upgrades for many years, one with a dram cache would be a good idea. I also chose the M9a because I plan on overclocking the cpu a bit, maybe the igpu portion as well. Ill also probably overclock the ram a bit and/or try tighter timings and sub timings.

yea this computer won't be used for gaming. The person thats going to use this rig didn't even use up half a 500gb hdd so 1tb should be suffice longer than he's had his crappy computer, which I think may be over 6 or 8 years. Im also on a strict budget and $620 is barely passing it but that 5.25 drive can be useful, still.

I would as well, but the person that's going to use this had the computer I was talking about in this thread. The hard drive on that thing died one day and now he needs a new pc; the 500gb hdd was less than 50% used so 1 tb should be enough for many years to come and the convenience of having everything in one drive is a plus for him.
