https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tFCkmq here we go. $592 total which is pretty close to the $600 price limit but it's packing an i3-8100 and a 1050Ti. It also has a SSD for boot drive/programs.

Beautiful, but why do you have a H100i pro in the parts list with a NZXT cooler in the actual build?

Great. I'm running Intel Integrated HD 520 graphics (the pain lol), planning to use this in a build that I will probably start during the thanksgiving week.

Nice. Saw some articles and such saying that VRM temperatures would be quite high, I might use this with a 2600X and save $40 or so.

There's really no need to stuff a 360mm rad for a 1700. A 240 or 280mm AIO would be good, but some 120 or 140mm AIO's would also be sufficient. Depends on your budget.

A few things I want to ask about because I'm planning a very similar build with the 2600X and Strix 1080. How fast were you able to push your RAM? Second, I heard that the motherboard has a plastic covering on the VRM's, and they increase the temperature by quite a lot.

Did you try XMP profiles? I read that the Ryzen 7 2700 can only support RAM up to 2933 so I don't know if the 2600X can support 3000.

There's no problem, it's just that your processor can be overclocked, but the board doesn't support overclocking.

Are you sure you can only put a 120mm water cooler on the top and not the back? Seems weird because on many youtube videos and Phanteks website it can mount a 360mm (possible 420mm) on top...
