I have had these for a while (1-1.5 years), and have held up good. The microphone is very quiet unfortunately, which is a very big pain.

I thought logitechs were good, I was wrong. These things are AMAZING and I would recommend them to anyone!

These are good, closed-back headphones. The 7.1 virtualization is a bit gimmicky but seems to work fine. You also have the option of connecting via a single headphone/mic connector if you want to use your own sound card (though there isn't much cable length to work with in that case). Also, the controller at the end of the USB cable (where you can adjust the volume and toggle the virtual surround effect) is upside down in my opinion.
The mic is detachable, which is good because it definitely gets in the way when it's attached. I prefer Sennheiser's design where you can just flip the mic up to get it out of the way and, at the same time, mute it. But these were more affordable.

from completed build Aiofe V.2.
For gaming they are a definite five star but when it comes to music they are really hit and miss. As ever with a gaming headset the bass is just too high. The other thing is that if I don't have them turned down to 60% volume they try to blow your head off with the sheer ridiculousness of the max volume. The microphone is fantastic whichever way you swing it though, really clear on all applications (Skype, teamspeak and in game VOIP) would recommend them to anyone just looking for a gaming headset.

Headset is okay, performs what you would expect it to do, but in hindsight I would have gotten higher quality stereo headphones and a standalone high quality mic.

Extremely comfortable, extremely good sounds even without software! It looks great as well. It's synthetic leather yes. I never thought I'm gonna get one of those but it turned out to be very comfortable even when it's hot in my room. Using it the whole summer now, still 100 percent overwhelmed.

First thing you notice out of the box is just how well built these are. The metal around the cups has a great feel, and the weight adds to the great build quality. The sound is super crisp, and the 7.1 is amazing. I use these when I'm playing xbox with my friends (I know, go gentle on me) and when I want and immersive experience on my PC.
