High performance, low noise, decent price. EVGA had received a bit more bad publicity than they deserved with the ACX/VRM debacle, IMHO. The ICX line of cards goes absolutely insane with thermal pads, thermal sensors, and cooler overdesign, and I couldn't be happier about it.

A good option if you aren't looking for a 1080Ti. Temps are reasonable although case airflow will dictate that to a degree. Handles my gaming needs with ease.

Pros: Can handle any game I've thrown at it on max settings with over 60FPS (Tom Clancy's Wildlands hits over 100) and runs semi-cool
Cons: Can't think of any
Other Thoughts: I wish I had gotten the RGB edition

Awesome card which handles just about everything I could ask for. The backplate does help dissipate heat unlike a lot of other cards which is nice

I've always dreamed of owning a GTX 1080, and it's finally come true. My previous PC had an RX 580, and that was a great little card, but I knew the 1080 was in another class. I actually bought this used from a friend who bought it new 4 months prior to me buying it, and I knew it hadn't even been ridden hard yet. Plus with EVGA being so great, I was able to transfer the manufacturer warranty into my name upon providing them with the original proof of purchase receipt. I've had it for about 4 months now, and the thing is a beast. It hits 2000mhz clock speed right out of the box, no OC settings needed. I'm running a 24" 1440p 165hz with G-sync, and even with AAA games I easily hit around 100+ fps. Games like Rocket League hold a consistent 165 fps (frame capped @ 165) and damn it looks awesome. Everything about this card is the way to go, EVGA, 1080, and SC2 with iCX...can't beat it. The SC2 comes with a factory boost clock of 1.847ghz, but I've been able to OC it to 2.068ghz no problem.

Absolute monster of a GPU. EVGA did a really solid job when it comes to looks and design of the shroud and back-plate. Very quiet and cool under load.

So far, so good. I played Rainbow Six Siege on maximum for hours on a 1440 screen. DPS never dropped lower than 80. Average was beyond 90. temperature never went over 63ºC. It's pretty, it's silent, it's not huge. It's a power house. It's more than I need, that's for sure.

The card remains pretty quiet and below 72c out of the box. This isn't by itself super impressive but the card also boosts to 1985mhz on the core by itself while doing it. I've managed a stable OC of 2090mhz but getting it to that point was a pain and the performance difference was negligible.
The fans stay almost silent below 40%, pretty quiet between 40%-50%, Tolerable between 50%-65%, and can get pretty loud after that. I have not found that to be an issue though as the fans rarely spin above 60% unless put to the aggressive fan profile or manually set higher than that. I should clarify that tolerable means I can barely hear it over my case fans (4 CoolerMaster AF120mm at 50%)
Overall it performs very well and looks pretty good too.

Great card. Can handle everything I throw at it at 1440p. Pretty quiet too. The sensors to monitor temps on different parts of the card are a nice bonus.
