This GTX 1080 has 11Gbps GDDR5X and the STRIX 1080 Ti's 2.5 slot cooler, which makes this card better at heat transfer compared to the smaller cooler on the 2 slot standard STRIX 1080. Unfortunately, this card is now discontinued, so if you find a good condition one on the second hand market and you're in need of a GTX 1080, go for it.

RGB, amazing back plate, runs a little warm. Runs every game I own (PUBG, BF1, BF4, WOW, and many many more [THANKS STEAM]), well over 120FPS consistently, sometimes over 140 on the higher end games!

Purchased this card in May 2016 for $1100, re using for this build. Sorry about the model #, I selected the wrong part in the build and can't seem to change it. I actually have the Strix GTX1080-08G-Gaming

What can I say? This graphics card is performing really well on my 2k 144hz monitor. I had originally thought about a 1060 6GB but then decided it would be better with a 1070. Just a day before I was going to get the 1070, it sold out on newegg and amazon alike. This bummed me out but I thought, "why not" and got the 1080. I had some trouble with the fan settings at first but it's all set now.

Very large card It was kind of annoying to fit in at first but I finally realised the problem.

This things a beast stays pretty cool for just the stock air cooler on it I can run any game on ultra setting with little tweeks and get about 100fps at 1440p. When I first got it lasted about a day and died on me. Contacted new egg and got a replacement through them within a few days. No issues with it since

This card is stunning. Very visually impressive, great performance, and the memory clock is boosted out of the box to 1080Ti speeds. This is a beast and well worth it's price tag.
