If you do not mind the lack of a USB 3.1 gen front io port connector or the wifi thingy then this is a good alternative. The E Gaming went on sale for cheaper than this which was unfortunate since I bought this 2 days before the E gaming went on sale but I have no complaints.

BIOS is a little sluggish, overall a nice looking board its kind of silver in pics but more of a gunmetal in person.

Would've gotten the E Gaming which is essentially the same thing with Wi-Fi Support and USB3.1. However, if you are torn between the Strix series or the Maximus, get the Maximus if your budget allows for it.

I chose this motherboard not only because it supported the 8th generation i7 processor, but it had a nice gray and black color theme, USB 3.0 ports, and RGB LED settings.

Easiest BIOS I've ever worked around, has more than enough features I could ever dream of using!

Great board! Wish I got the one with WiFi/Bluetooth support though. After first post the LAN would not work, even though I had installed the drivers from a USB I had previously made just before build. Very frustrating! Finally decided to try the included DVD. Viola! The LAN drivers were on the disc. I really do not know what people without disc drives in their rigs would do, to be able to get online! Very grateful I had the disc drive!

One extra chasis fan header would be awesome, otherwise well made motherboard.
