Depending on what you like and in no particular order:

  • Super Mario Odyssey

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

  • Dark Souls

  • Bayonetta 1 and 2

  • Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu

  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (and the expansion Torna)

  • Splatoon 2

  • Super Mario Maker 2

  • Stardew Valley

  • Super Smash Bros Ultimate

  • Okami

  • Snipperclips

  • Astral Chain

  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

There's a TON more out there depending on your preferences, but I think the above is a pretty good start. :P

As far as sales: there may be sales. I'd get one or two of the big single player games (Like Odyssey, BotW, Fire Emblem, or Xenoblade) and then maybe something smaller you like (Into the Breach, Stardew Valley, Snipperclips, Baba is You, for example). That'll more than tide you over until Black Friday.

I've noticed Walmart seems to sell pretty much all switch games for $50. Worth looking at perhaps.

To add to this list:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
  • Octopath Traveler

first, get a single game that will last you a while (Super Mario Odyssey, as an example). Pair that with some free stuff (i.e. Fortnite, Paladins). And then buy more games on black friday/cyber monday. It is worth noting Nintendo also has holiday sales, and that there is usually at least one decent game on sale at any given moment

"i.e. fortnite, paladins"

shame

no warframe.

(see it rhymes- no offense though, I totally agree, just that you could probably sink hours into warframe)

There is also Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for 32.86 if you got enough for a sub-$40 game, but not enough for a 2nd $50 game.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is also for $36, though this was $25 last Black Friday. Target had this for $25 as well.

Walmart last year had these games for $35:

DK: Tropical Freeze

Kirby Star Allies

ARMS

Pokken Tournament DX

I'd expect games like TheShadowGuy for on sale for BF:

Smash Ultimate

Mario Maker 2

Link's Awakening

And maybe Luigi's Mansion 3.
