Anything to make the build lighter, more colorful, or just smaller to transport along with good performance? Anything helps!

For gaming you don't need 32gb of memory, if your going to buy 32gb then buy it right in a matched set not 2 different packages.

I also dont trust the Team SSD.

The Team SSD is one of the best budget ssds out there.

Damn

The 660p will slow down as it's cache gets filled. it's old technology and isn't really that great. The only reason it's cheap is because they're trying to get rid of them.

user reviews are not a reliable source. Most won't be going in depth enough for it to be actually good.

If portability is one of your concerns, micro-ATX might not be the best option, as for the liquid cooler

The 8086k has a higher clock speed than the 8700k, and if you get it on amazon bundles with the vengeance ram, it costs only $10 more.

I got a 2070 GPU from getting rid of one of the 16gb packs, which was overkill even for streaming. You always want a better GPU and CPU than ram. Only 1TB of storage, but it is SSD speeds. Higher wattage PSU, and a better looking case (in my opinion, they both work) and includes thermal compound and high quality LL series fans. So you will still get colors out of the 301.

I dont see that bundle.

He got the case for the handles.

No reason to spend 10 bucks on the paste either.

That is the 8700k and 16GB of cas 15 memory for 485 bucks the same thing as regular price.

It's an 8086k, not an 8700k.

8086k has a base of 4ghz, and can easily be overclocked to 5ghz, where the 8700k may need more cooling to get to 5ghz or past.

ive seen it get to 5.6GHz with extreme watercooling easily.

style: cpu + dram

for thermal compound you just buy it after a year or so, not directly with it.

and $10 doesnt really make a difference in a $1400 or so pc

I love the case, it's beautiful, but he wanted the other case because it was small and portable.

Also, if you get the CPU at that price, why not get the 9900K?

  • 1 point

9900K + RAM = 610$

8086K + RAM = 485$

8086k has a bundle.

  • 1 point

I know, but the 9900k has better performance, and with ample cooling a 4.8 GHZ OC is good

  • 1 point

......

of course it does

it has 8 cores and more threads

the point is price

$120 or so more for a 9900k with that ram
