This is my third and final edit of my dream PC..

( My first PC !!! ) (Please use New parts.. I dont trust used)

I have learned so much over these past two posts.. I've narrowed down what I need and what I want..

This is also something i just wanna show off.. I'd like the theme to be Corsair and no.. I'm not some RGB fan-boy.. But if it's not them it's fine..

I want a full gaming set up to run 1440p/4k that is future proof to the best it can be. (I also need a headset, speakers, keyboard, mouse, monitor.) I will also be adding a second gaming card in the future to run in SLI. Overclocking may or my not happen..

I have anywhere from a 3000-3500 Budget to build this full set up. (Summer job that ends soon is funding it.)

I have made a couple of part lists to what I'd want but I wanna see what you guys could build.. (I am mostly stuck on which CPU I need, motherboard, and case options..)

But..

A few musts..

  1. 1080Ti
  2. CPU water cooler
  3. 2Tb or higher Hardrive
  4. (x2) 512 SSD Storage
  5. Power supply needs to be able to power future card/RAM
  6. I'd like 32 Gigs of dominator plat.. But 16 will do..
  7. The Anidees Ai crystal (Mid tower) is my dream case..

This PC is mostly playing The Fallout series, Metro(s), PUBG, Etc... I'd like to stay at a solid 60FPS..

I'm sorry I've blown up the "Build me a part list page" lately.. :(

If anybody has desks they'd like to recommend that would be AMAZING..

If anybody also has multiple recommendations for CPU'S or Motherboards.. That would be fantastic.. Reviews would be beautiful!

Thankyou for dealing with my annoying non stop posts, and for taking time out of your day to build a list..

-Tyler (Florida, USA)

P.s If an admin reads this.. Thank you for making this my new FAVORITE website..

I don't mean to blow through your subject but I really think this is the way to go. If you wanted to you could even run the two ssd in raid 1 to get very quick speeds, also on the topic of quick storage you could add a thing of intel optain memory to speed up that 3tb drive. The monitor is the cheapest g-sync 27 inch monitor out there and all the peripherals are all solid picks. Hope this helps!

i agree, maybe you pull out one off the ssd or down grade the peripherals, or get a not as good monitor

Ill probbably just save more.. Down grade 1 ssd to like 112 gb or just remove it entirely

just drop 1 SSD and get a big HDD for storage and its a strong combo but have a look

That cooler is all bark and no bite. Its about on par with a Evo 212 once you start pumping a lot of heat through it. Its a cool idea but it fails to do good in reality.

Also why such a cheap case. I owned a 200R and definitely wouldn't recommend it for a 3.2K build, I would at least get something like a tempered glass P400 which isn't crazy expensive (~$80), it has built in RGB and modern/recent features and trends. Or if must be Corsair a 460X or a 570X.

It's a complicated and evolving subject and anyone trying to oversimplify it is either uninformed, or trying to sell you something.

But generally speaking, Intel does perform somewhat better on single-core tasks because of their superior instructions-per-clock and clock speeds; whereas AMD's Ryzen performs a fair bit better on multithread-optimized tasks, especially when you realize that Ryzen 7's nearest Intel competitor for that many cores is around double, or more, the price. (though that's counterbalanced by the number of multithreaded applications you, as a user, are likely to interact with... which is small)

But less generally, there are a lot of factors. Like the lifespan of the socket (the i7 7700's socket just died, Ryzen 7 is new), the price, the lifespan of the architecture (Again, Ryzen is new, so it'll take some time to mature)... and chances are unless you're trying to milk your machine for the most of its worth, you probably won't notice significant differences between the platforms until they differentiate more than "Oh well we've got some more cores..." or "Oh well we can run 0.5 ghz faster...
