Hello everyone. I've had enough of the console life and I'm deciding on spending around £1000 on a good gaming PC, I'm terrible with specs as I'm very new to this, Id be playing games such as sub Nautica, ARK and DayZ/Arma. (If this helps with the build at all. I may buy a second monitor at a later date. I'm not too bother if it`s Intel or AMD as long as it has 16gb of RAM and decent cooling as it will be under my desk.

  • Budget: £1,000 (£1050 max)
  • Location: UK
  • Use: Gaming
  • Peripherals required: Monitor x1, Mouse and keyboard (Don't need anything special for those two)
  • Operating System required: Windows 10 or 8

If you have any questions just say. Hope this is helpful and sorry if I`ve derped anywhere.

Spending your entire £1,050 max budget I arrive at this which offers a Quad core CPU, a well rated CPU cooler to keep things quieter, a nice quiet case, a Micro ATX motherboard combined with a MicroATX stylish and quiet case , and 16GB of RAM as requested (though it is arguable that you need that). It is also utilising an RX480 which is excellent for 1080p gaming, and a well regarded 1080p monitor. A decent mouse keyboard combo and an excellent PSU with a long warranty that is fully modular. Lovely jubbly.

It also has a 275GB SSD to install Windows 10 on (get 10, 8.1 is horrible for gaming IMO) and a 1TB Hard Drive for mass storage.

However, if you don't want to spend all this, then see below this part list for one just as good but without a few extras that are not necessary straight away:

Removing the CPU cooler and using the Intel stock cooler, not getting the 1TB Hard drive just yet (super easy to add later), and going for 1 stick of 8GB RAM (or 2 sticks of 4GB RAM, whichever is cheaper) (with the idea you add another 8GB later), we come to this at under £950:
