Description

Following the fail of the AMD Build I decided to go back to Intel. Parts list will consist of parts I got as great bargains from eBay, Microcenter and Best Buy. and parts I had laying around.

Old Parts:

Antec Kuhler 620 AIO

New Parts:

PNY 480GB SSD bought used in ebay.

Antec EarthWatts Platinum 650W, needed a better PSU to power this system

Gigabyte R9 380X, cause the 270X doesn't support freesync and was the cheapest GPU that could handle freesync.

The Gigabyte GA-H170 Gaming 3 Motherboard, I bought at microcenter openbox but brand new with everything included I/O Shield ect. for $59+tax. Had to update BIOS for Kabylake supported CPU's.

The Team Elite ram I snagged at newegg for $31 on Black Friday. The name was kind of sketchy at first as I never heard of the brand. But I decided to try them, works wonders so far. knocks on wood Bought another as I realized 4GB isn't enough for gaming. ;D

The thing that powers it all, the G4560, I got it pretty cheap as a bid on ebay for around $38USD. Technically I only paid $18 since I had an ebay bucks certificate of $20. Haha. I've read alot of good reviews about it through forums and youtube videos. I mean if all you're doing is gaming. This fits the budget and gives you alot of head room for other components. Such as a good GPU.

edited I finally decided to join the tempered glass hype train. I went with the Phanteks Eclipse P300. I've been eyeing this case ever since Computex 2017. I always wanted a tempered glass case but for the right price, as well as the real estate I needed for my components. And this fit the picture, I'm very satisfied with the results!

Update: Upgraded this system to the current build. See Dark Jedi

high load

CPU: 35-40°C GPU: 53-78°C (depending on which game I play)

Really nice build. I'm not sure about the AIO, very overkill and louder than an air cooler. Looks nice though

Awesome, yeh that would be a good buy. I reckon prices for used Kaby chips will go way down now now because coffee lake. So if you do want a 7700, 2/3 months time theyll be pretty affordable
