Description

I've been looking forward to building a pc for a little over a year now, the first time I took a look at this site I had parted out a build that was just way too out of my budget, so this summer I got a repeat job and I decided alright, this is the year to do it. thankfully I did a lot more research for it and it helped keep my build not craaazy expensive. I plan to use this system for gaming and keeping personal things like pictures and music on it, hence the 3 TB HHD, and I'm going to get a rift in the near future. I wish I had taken pictures during the build, I love seeing how people do it on here and I was just too excited. The ram in the pics is actually my uncles that hes loaning me until the ones from the list come in, I had accidentally gotten ram that was not compatible : P I'm pretty sure it was at least. Either way, these new ones are the same speed, price, and just overall look better so I'm glad I got them in the end. And getting the monitor was a hassle as well. I had made the mistake of buying all my parts in one sitting. Huge mistake. My card was put on hold because of all the transactions, and bestbuy sent an email that my order was cancelled cause they couldn't process my payment. So I get my card figured out and I get an email with an order recite. So I was like "Oh dear this isn't right" and I canceled the order and was told I would get an email confirmation about the cancellation, so I was like cool. Next thing I know, I got an email saying that the monitor has shipped :P whale OK then. To make it worse, I got the wrong cable for freesync ;-; besides that, It was a great experience and I look forward to building more in the future. I haven't done any testing so far, but I will when my ram comes in, which tests should I do? Thank you for reading and I hope you like what you see : )

Part Reviews

CPU

Runs good, I'm not doing anything crazy with it but I haven't had problems so far so that's good.

Motherboard

Great motherboard all around for budget builds, looks great, easy to use.

Storage

boots my pc wicked fast

Storage

whole ton of space that I plan to keep for a while, loads pretty quickly too.

Video Card

Runs beautifully, It's a great card, I got mine used for $220, but good luck finding one new for under $270

Case

I love this case so much, It's literally the exact thing i was looking for, the right size, the led fans, the psu shroud, plenty of room for cable management. great case.

Power Supply

does it's job, nice and cheap.

Optical Drive

I thought it was going to be louder based on the reviews I have read, It works fine and doesn't throw my build off in my mind.

Monitor

Its a great monitor, be great if i had the right cable :P other than that, everything looks good on it

Keyboard

Nice and klicky : ) I'm in love with it, the rubber feet keep it in place on my desk pretty well.

Mouse

Very comfortable mouse, I don't mess with the weights but if you want it just a little bit lighter you can fix that, the only problem I have with it is everytime I power my pc on I have to change the dpi to the one I use. If there's a way to fix that gimme a shout please (if its just to download the software, where do i go?)

Although the black and red color scheme is very common, that doesn't mean it doesn't look good if you can pull it off. Looks great. Only thing I could think of adding is a mousepad.] I'll link one here.

What did the fans hook up, to the PSU or a mobo header? I can't find any reveiws that into detail about this case.

If you follow the fan cables they're all connected to a fan controller that's controlled by the slider next to the card readers at the front of the case, its powered by a molex connection. you can hook up two more fans to the controller as well, or can just disconnect that and hook it up to your mobo if you want more control over speed of the fans, cause the controller only has two speeds

Thinking about getting this case for a resell gaming pc, how is cable management

it's not terrible, it gets a little tight but there's plenty of room to hide it in the shroud

curious... looks like a 3rd 3.5" drive can be mounted below the drive cage hidden by the psu shroud, is that the case in this case lol?

I was thinking of getting the same mouse you have and I’m wondering if it’s worth the price for gaming?

i really enjoy the mouse, the weights don;t make much of a difference but they're there. the main buttons were a little far apart at first but i've gotten used to it since then, it's a great mouse.

of the tittles ive played so far (rust, battle field 1, csgo, fallout 4, for honour, fortnite, raft, the culling, titanfall 2, and warframe) i haven't had a single problem at all. i play everything on the highest setting and there's been no stuttering at all. works like a charm : )

You weren’t plagiarizing. You were advocating not paying for windows. Don’t do that here.
