UPDATE: the gpu has unfortunately caught the plague that the other 2080TI has had and has passed away on February 13th 2019

Well how do all Crazy builds start?

She was born about 6 months ago, when my wallet was just too heavy, and my heart empty. She was a i7 8700k 1080ti build and i think the only surviving part from these times was the 970 Evo. The 1080TI got sold and a 2080 TI went in. Unfortunately it caught the plague that all 2080TI's seem to catch and passed away on November 7th.

And what did i do?

The only common and sensible thing to do, swap everything for a Threadripper and 2080 sli build. That was going swimmingly until another plague, the one of sli and its wonderful scaling came out from under the covers, and the 2080's got sold and a 2080TI found its way back into my arms.

She couldn't handle the hot Australian Summer so she got a nice cold bath thanks to EK and their watercooling parts.

And here she is.

She is also currently for sale if anyone is interested I just cant handle all of this power, well more so that i will never in a million years need 16 cores, as all i do is play BFV and maybe the odd rage quit when i get killed. Plus she has cost me a-lot of money that could be better spent which is why she got the name that she's got.

So Guys and Girls for that matter i present to you, A WIFE

P.s More photos to come, waterloop was completed a couple of days ago, just need to cable manage the back then ill post photos of whats behind the curtains, so to speak

Cheers

Women are expensive so this appropriately named for sure. When's the wedding? My RX 570 can be your best man. He's got small man syndrome, but trust me he's there for you when you need him and he can hold his own.

Oh, another PC-O11D with EK parts. Have my upvote.

  • What reservoir is that in the side chamber?
  • What is the tubing and how did you do the bends?

Edit:

Oh my word... I think I found the seller and they have some really nice reservoirs and even a custom one for the PC-O11D: https://www.ebay.com/itm/011-Dynamic-360-Reservoir-Distro-water-cooling-block-for-D5-pump-and-8-G1-4/223299735167

The Reservoir is possible my favourite thing about the build, thats why i only went with a 240mm rad on the bottom not to obstruct the masterpiece that is the rez.

Tubing wise its all PETG, my first time playing with this sort of tubing, I've done glass tube builds before and this is by far the better of the two. Mad respect to anyone that decides to go to glass, i did all the tubing for this build in about 4 hours, with glass i would have been looking at a day or two.

Bending wise, just a heat gun and maybe a right angle guide is all you need, these bends are just done by eye, which explains some of the lines being a bit off.

Thanks for the comment anyway

Cable management should be done by the end of the week, hopefully it gets featured, i might get some return on investment then, unlike a real wife hahaha.

u should pull the acryl reservoire a bit to the front and mount fans where it was. then use standoffs and mount the res to the fans

Are all fans blowing air to the outside?

I was going to dissemble the pc and paint the rads white, thats why the stickers were still on there, one less thing to do. Thanks for the comment anyway.

It has set me back about just over 7k aud, unfortunately the pc is being parted out as the 2080ti has died on me.

Are the lightloop fans really that good at illuminating your case, or is some camera trickery at work? This is one of the few builds I've seen that doesn't have those fans set to rainbow mode and it looks spectacular.

All shot on an Iphone XS Max but no camera trickery, these fans are AMAZING. They illuminate the case so well, i don't think you would even need a led strip they are just that good. They are expensive but the difference they make is so worth it and i wouldn't choose any other fan over them. Thanks for the comment as well.

GREAT BUILD!!! i recently build my own tr4 system. my cpu is the 2950x and my gpu is the asus 2080 ti strix. I also have 2x8 gb gskill trident z rgb ram at 3000 mhz cl15. The 2 ram stick are installed in the outer left and right ram slots in the mobo because the 2nd ram slot (close to the cpu) doesnt read the ram stick. This ram config is not recommended by the mobo manual but in bios says dual channel 3000 mhz with xmp.But i have some problems with my computers performance. When playing call of duty black ops 4 blackout for example in 25460x1440p everything maxed out, v sync off i get about 58-110 fps (80 average) and my gpu usage is also low at about 45-70 percent. This happens in other games too. In pubg i get 90-135 fps (110 average with drops to 70 when looking at a city from a high position) with everything on ultra and vsync off. My gpu usage gets to 90 percent but gpu clocks are at 1850 mhz most of the time. In forza horizon 4 in 2k everything maxed out i get 65-105 fps (80-85 average) and gpu usage is 60-70%Things get worse in call of duty black ops 3 when i get 85-120 fps in zombies or multiplayer while other 2080ti systems get 200 fps or more. In fortnite i get 100- 140 fps with framedrops to 65-75 in places with many buildings. Its like my cpu is a bottlenech for my gpu. I ran a Userbenchmark and these are the results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/15211915 Could you please tell me if your cpu bottleneck your gpus aswell and also what kind of performance you get in those games with your beast of a pc??? Because it looks like mine isnt as beastly as i would like to :( Thanks in advance and sorry for the huge comment.

Awesome build. However, I'm interested in the RAM only, if you're willing to sell and ship to the UK, I'll take it off your hands.
