Description

570 bucks on Newegg for this great looking PC and solid specs? I'd give myself multiple cudos. I had fun building this PC. As it sits on my desk right now, It looks great. Check out this video that I made on Premier with this PC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUnPxsadXfo

The inside of the case is black and the back is black. That kind of quality for this kind of price is kind of rare... (Also there are thumbscrews,)

Part Reviews

CPU

Great CPU for the price and I absolutely love the overclock that went into this.

CPU Cooler

Great, flashy, and overall, very quiet.

Motherboard

I gave this 4 stars because the connectors did not really fit with my case, but that just might be my case. The motherboard was under clocking my CPU and I went through much trouble fixing this.

Memory

This much ram for this price! Looks great and the included black heat spreader is great.

Storage

I mean, you have other reviews that extensively help you. This hard drive served my purpose.

Video Card

Great looking card and a great looking price. Preforms better than expected.

Case

Damn, this case needs more recognition. There is a nice side panel that doesn't dim the components too much but does hide some of the small flaws in cable management. There are a lot of cable management holes and the case is perfect for my needs as a quiet workstation and gaming build that is quite small form factor. +1 to DIYPC

An APU..........Why juuuuuuuuust why its meant to be used if u don't have money for a cpu and a gpu :/ and u got a dedicated gpu u could get a fx 6300 or atleast a 8320

To keep the rest of the parts the same I would suggest the Athlon x4 845 which is about $60, but I agree AM3+ would be better in this price range.

So how was your motherboard underclocking your processor and how did you fix this issue? I'm getting the athlon 845 with the same motherboard and case you're getting. Also, how did you fix the issue with your connectors not fitting your case? What connectors where you having issues with? Im literally planning on building the same computer that you built with different RAM and a different GPU and CPU but with the same case and motherboard. This is my first time building a gaming computer so sorry if I asked a ton. Also, I apologize for my bad English. It isn't my first language.

Or the athlon x4 860k for nearly the same price. But you would be paying for a cpu only ( not an issue since you have a gpu ) so you get what you pay for (much more performance) In other words he payed for an integrated gpu that he will not be wiiling to use it

That case does look pretty nice, I'm not gonna lie. Plenty of room for cable management, cheap and really digging all of the space around the motherboard. But does it come with USB 3.0 inputs? Edit: Yes it does include USB 3.0 front inputs. Awesome find.

Did you cover the ketchup and mustard cables on your 24 pin? It looks a lot better than leaving them showing!

+1 for having an APU (+1 for 7860k) with a GPU and a Biostar mobo. lol

Actually, there's a good point on buying APU+GPU. If you sell your GPU because you want to get a better one, you can still play some games with the APU!

I'm a genius!

I was not even going to mention the mobo. lol. APU+GPU is a tell tail sign of an amateur builder or someone not understanding parts, with the exception of adding a GPU later on (you know we gotta upgrade things).

Around 140 fps in competitive, and 80-200 in deathmatch. Dips down when someone with ping passes by

Hey, I've been wondering the dimensions of the "new" cooler that comes with the 7860k...... Could you post a picture of the cooler, or maybe give me the dimensions?

That is a fantastic price. I am using the same APU in my mini itx build and it run me close to almost $700

I would've gotter DDR3-2133 RAM because it would benefit better than DDR3-1600 since APUs don't have dedicated memory.

Good looking build and parts list less one sin, why do you have a GPU with an APU? The entire point of an APU is to not have a GPU, you are paying more for the iGPU that you are not even using. You could have gone with an Athlon x4 845 which preforms neck and neck with the a10-7860 for almost half the cost, and with that saved $60 gone with a better GPU or added a SSD or just pocketed it and lowered the build cost to $450ish. Either way good looking build my friend.

OMG, the fatal errors in my build!!!! Thanks man. But... already bought so yolo. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm quite inexperienced. I didn't know that the x4 845 was as good as the 7860, you're right. That would have saved me much money. Thanks again!

poor choice of APU + gpu. If going APU only, it's perfect. Adding a GTX950 to it is a waste of money. Either get a cheap R7 to match the APU and go dual graphics (R7 250 in this case, DDR3 prefered) or else get an APU which has a weaker on-die gpu to justify the add-on GTX950. It's just sad the extra cash spent on the very good APU could have went to a better GPU instead. I'm not going to downvote for that, I only mention it. Case looks shorter than avergae, I like that!

Yes, I do agree that this is a poor choice of combination. This is my second build, and I'm quite inexperienced. Thank you for the help. Going to get i5 later on....

let's call this: getting experience! I hope I didn't make you rig look like crap because that's not the case.
