This is a simple build I did for a friends Dad. He had a 10 year old desktop that was slower than any computer I’ve ever seen. Basically he just wanted a super fast computer for his business and music storage. Accidentally handed the cpu to my inexperienced friend and he bent three of the outer pins on the 3400g. Ended up not being a problem as far a functionality goes but it was the most cringe I’ve ever felt putting a cpu in a socket.
I wanted to go with an MSI board but ended up going with asrocks because of third gen compatibly out of the box.
The Inland NVME drive is an amazing deal for a 1TB TLC drive in comparison to intels 1 TB QLC drive.
Probably the best consumer apu on the market today. Graphics are untouchable by intel currently and the cpu is a multi thread beast. Didn’t do any overclocking because it was unnecessary for this use case.
Ive used this board twice now in builds. Never had any issues with it. The bios is pretty easy to use. It would be nice to have more than one memory profile though. At micro enter it is compatible with 3rd gen ryzen out of the box.
Standard 3200 memory. If you don’t have interest in rgb than there is no reason not to get these. Great price. No compatibility issues with ryzen 2nd or 3rd gen.
Best price to performance NVME on the market. It’s made by the micro center thing so it pretty trust worthy. It’s TLC at the price of QLC what else do you want.
Used this case Twice now for builds. Great construction, very good cable management with rubber lined holes where you need them. Included double sided Velcro straps. Labels on all the cables except the fan.
Which brings me to the 1 star deduction. The drive bays stored in the psu shroud are a pain in the butt to remove. You have to remove the front panel and possibly the fan as well to access a pinched flap on the top of the shroud.
And it should have another 120mm fan included in the front.
Great semi mod psu for the price. I think they only sell these at micro center. Ketchup and mustard at the end of the cable case though.
