Description
This build is an "updated" version of my last build: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/YyvV3C . By upgrade I mean I got a new case and cooler and decided to give overclocking a try. Also this revision will include part reviews so stay tuned for more xD
Part Reviews
CPU
This CPU is absolutely amazing for games, especially for the price. As long as its paired with a nice GPU, even CPU intensive games will run smoothly.
CPU Cooler
This cooler is probably one of the best air coolers out there. It can keep my i5 6600k at around 50 degrees celcius at full load at 4.5 GHz and gives me about 25-30 degrees idle at stock or 30-35 at 4.0 GHz which is what I currently have my CPU at. I would highly recommend this cooler to anyone looking for a nice cooler for a great price.
Motherboard
The motherboard is just a motherboard... Nothing special here. The reason I give it four stars instead of five is because of a very hard to read fan header that is practically under one of the heatsinks. Nothing major though. I liked it because it matches my color scheme.
Memory
Just RAM... nothing to see here... move along now.
Storage
As a person who has never used an SSD before, I think it is very fast and treat it like some kind of tech lord but when in reality it is fast enough to boot quickly, but it could be a little faster especially for the price. Luckily I got it for around $40 as a combo with windows.
Storage
Its a nice hard drive... not much to say. 7200 RPM is nice, its not too slow for holding my steam library.
Video Card
This is a very great card, and will be able to run most games at max at 1080p. A little overpriced at the moment but I got it for just over $250 so I'd say I got a pretty good deal.
Case
I have fallen in love with this case. The building experience was just amazing. Cable management was super easy, and I have almost no cable management skills. HDD and SSD installation was easy and motherboard installation was a breeze unlike with my last case, the rosewill stealth, which was a nightmare to build in and I almost scratched my motherboard. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking.
Power Supply
5 stars because it hasn't blown up yet. Cheers m8.
