Description
This is my very first build after owning a HP Omen while trying to decide whether or not I wanted to ascend to the PCMR. I meant to edit my build and ended up deleting it on accident. Since then, I have upgraded my GPU from a 1080 SC to a 2080 XC2 Ultra. This case is great for cable management. I'm hoping to learn how to bend tubing so I can do a custom water loop, it's what this case deserves. I know everyone hates RGB but I like it because it really stands out and personalizes the rig. I have an affinity for Retrowave/Outrun/cyberpunk themes so that's where my color scheme comes from. This thing handles any game like a boss. I only run into SOME issues trying to stream at high quality while playing some games. I am still learning so it might just be my lack of experience with the software. It handles pretty much anything I throw at it if its one at a time though. Video editing is a breeze. With my Omen I had a lot of stuttering while trying to edit some videos but this thing handles everything with ease.
Inb4 someone says something about my middle bottom fan not facing the same direction lol I know I totally looked over it and have honestly been too lazy to change it lol will probably do it when I clean it.
Part Reviews
CPU Cooler
Okay so let's start with the cons. CAM. The CAM software is awful and doesn't work at times. That aside, it's a GREAT AIO. the 280mm outperforms the 360. It's stylish and does the job well.
Thermal Compound
Amazing thermal paste. Dropped my temps by 6c. It's a tad more expensive but it pays for itself.
Video Card
EVGA makes great cards. Kind of ugly...but the performance is amazing. I actually have the XC2 ultra but I cannot find it on here. It has ICX2 technology, the software is easy to use, and it is COOL. Not only is it cool but the fans are also very quiet even at high speeds.
Case
This case is a godsend. It's quite hefty but it needs to be. It's made for water cooling/custom loops in mind. It's showy and generous with areas for cable management. Has an addition spot for another PSU if your system ever calls for it, however, in the meantime that space is occupied by storage. Despite not having a front intake, it is quite cool with an AIO and fans set up.
Monitor
This monitor was worth every penny. A lot of reviews have stated that they have bad IPS bleed with this monitor. I have been fortunate to not have that issue. Its an IPS panel and they're notorious for that, however I don't notice any issues. It overclocks to 165mhz and does have speakers. The speakers don't get very loud but then again you're most likely going to have a headset on anyway.
Mouse
This is the newest version of my favorite mouse :) It's lighter and the design is revamped. supports 18,000 dpi.
Headphones
The headset itself is amazing, I have no issues locating enemies with how awesome the sound is. It's very comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. The mic is doodoo.
