Description

This was my second build ever and my second build in the past two weeks. After my sister saw that mine worked she asked if I could build one for her as well. All went smooth with the build and it started right up on the first try the only problem I ran into was the ethernet would not work so i had to update the driver using my usb wifi adapter but after that everything went fine. It's run every game shes tried well at 1080p and so far she seems very happy with it.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great little cpu, great little price.

Motherboard

A little overkill but was the cheapest Z370 I could find, could have waited for cheaper boards but rather pay a little more to have it now. Runs great, looks great and no complaints.

Storage

Cheap ssd a little small but more then enough for OS and programs. Runs great and so much faster then hdd. Can't complain.

Video Card

Tiny gpu but so far ran every game with great fps at 1080p. Cheapest 1050ti I could find but works great.

Case

Solid case easy to build in and keep clean.

Case Fan

Great fans keep fairly quiet at full and seem to move a fair amount of air. Seemed like the best choice for purple led fans.

Monitor

Great screen and got it on sale so I can't complain.

Custom

Easy to install and really cheap but seems to work well. I think it's a great choice if you need a 3 pin fan hub.

Custom

Easy to install and bright maybe a little overpriced but works well.

Custom

Not the greatest but for 35 dollars a good set if you're looking for white/backlit combo

That is strange a couple things i would try would be if you upgraded from another gpu make sure all your old drivers are completely gone if it was the first gpu you used id try manually downloading the drivers and see if that helps.

does the i3 hold back your gtx 1050 ti in any way or are u mostly gpu bound?

I havent done extensive testing on it since its my sisters rig but Id imagine it would be a game by game basis. Older single core titles are probably more cpu bound while newer AAA ones will be gpu bound. All in all I think the 1050 ti pairs nicely with the i3. I do know that with my personal rig I have a i5 8400 paired with the 1050 ti and I find myself gpu bound alot more then cpu bound especially with newer AAA titles.

Thanks for the information. I am considering a R5 1500x to pair with my gtx 1050 so i would imagine that i will be fine if a i3 doesnt bottleneck a 1050 ti.
