Description

This was originally intended to be a platform upgrade from my Haswell-based system built in 2015, but soon evolved into a new build (rip wallet). All components except the HDD are new.

To do: custom cables (using CableMod coupon shipped with motherboard), interior lighting, additional fans.

Edit: custom cables and interior lighting kit have since been purchased and installed. Part List has been updated.

Whoa! Looks chill and minimal. I really like the simplicity of the H500, very clean. Do all the Rog boards have a Cablemod coupon? Was gonna order the Code and that would be super convenient because I was already looking at the Pro series cable kits! +1 for parts and desk.

How does the H7 perform with the 8700k?

I'm actually wondering the same thing. Can you overclock with it? I am putting together a very similar build and knowing this would be really helpful.

Hey! I was wondering how good you've found the NZXT H500 to be and if you'd recommend it or not. I'm kinda stuck between should I go with the Meshify C or this. Oh and is it true that the H500 comes with a RGB strip. Thanks :)

I love this case. I love the clean, compact, minimalistic design which was the primary reason for choosing this case. However, as with its predecessors (the S340 and S340 Elite), its cooling capacity is limited - in this instance by its restricted front intake. It’s not bad, but it certainly isn’t exceptional. If you value cooling above all else, get the Meshify C, otherwise I will gladly recommend this case.

As for RGB lighting, that feature is restricted to the more expensive, $99 USD, H500i.

How are your CPU and GPU temps? I was planning on getting the H500 but having second thoughts.

My temps average 65C for both CPU and GPU in stock fan configuration.
