Description

My first build, and it's so tiny.

Built this last week and it's been running well!

It was difficult to build in this case (if I didn't have the slim cables I probably wouldn't have done it), but when I finished... it was worth it! My only problem was that the 92mm fan didn't fit...

Total was around $1800 including the case (which was $205).

Since then, I switched out the case feet from gold ones to the stock black ones (gold ones weren't matching the silver keyboard and monitor).

Temperatures are much, much better than I expected, it's amazing really!

Already posted this to /r/buildapc, but why not also post it here?

Thanks for reading!

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen one of those cases. Looks like you fit a lot of power into a very small package. Any reason why you got 1 stick of RAM instead of a dual channel kit? Good choice on switching out the feet-- I agree that the gold ones don't look that great. Brushed chrome would be cool. Overall a very nice build. +1!

(edit to add: good to see a fellow NHL fan!)

Thanks for the feedback!

I got one stick of RAM rather than two because I could only afford 8GB at the time and instead of going with two 4GB sticks and leaving no more slots open (mITX boards only have two memory slots), I got one stick of 8GB so I can upgrade to 16GB if needed.

Also, I'm going to buy silver case feet soon! It'll match my monitor and keyboard.

EDIT: Thanks! I love them Devs!

Congrats on your build. Well done.

Great to see you supporting your team too.

By the way, you didn't mention how you intend to use this PC.

Thanks!

I'll be using it for gaming, and some light CAD work.

Mostly for gaming though... Star Citizen in particular...

I love it. I want to do a compact build like this so bad. Can't wait for finances to make a turn so I can do one. Great build. +1

How is a PNY card? I'm considering getting one but I've never heard of them.

It's been running very well and cool. Also, as a plus, if you register one of their cards on their site, you get lifetime warranty!

That sounds awesome, probably going to get this card.

Amazing build, I would like to score one case since there are some over stock from the site as of this moment, I just don't have the dough this time. Nice build man! I thought cause of your color combos, I think silver should have been your choice? Damn Sexy compact case!

Was this case A. Worth the price? and B. easy to build in?

A. Was definitely worth the price.

B. It took me 8 hours to build this (first build ever), but once I got used to it, I could do a full rebuild in like 30 minutes.
