Description

My first old original budget was about $600, so I had to save money on a lot of parts, but as of now I have everthing as seen, the upgrades are Corsair 450D, Gigabyte R9-270x,PNY XLR8 Pro 240GB SSD, EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750w, Corsair Veng PRO 1866 RAM, Cougar blue led fans and Win 10 PRO 64bit

Used mostly as a daily workhorse, light gaming, CITIES XXL, NeverWinter, Diablo 3, Sims, couple other games here and there, 8320 is overclocked to 4.6, run temps of about 38c average with light use, desk was also updated, I have enjoyed the case over my old one, and also i picked up the cougar kind of gaming keyboard, got a new Logitech MX Peformance mouse which works great on glasstop, let me know what yall think of my builb refresh, also I didnt bother updating prices, most is old stuff from old build, so price isnt accurate or correct. the refresh was completed at least march of 2015

Gosh I love that tower to death. This looks great, I have a Corsair H60 mounted on top, I should maybe think of switching it around. Well done!

Awesome build you got there! Your the first person that has actually put the H80i in a place that looks good, anywhere else in any other case the h80i seems to block like 50% of the motherboard from sight. Looks so much better in the front.

Really think it a very good place both functional and as you said aesthetically pleasing.

Actually I have a dumb question about the H80: I have an H60 which is pretty much the same, but a single fan. I was thinking of adding a second fan, but is there something that takes both fan cords and combines them into one for the CPU FAN port on the MoBo? I'm guessing that's what comes with the h80 and I'd have to pick up if i wanted to add a second fan.

its comes with a intergrated fan header on the pump but i dont think that is on the non i series, but yea for your purpose yea any fan header splitter would work for you.

Ah that makes sense. Thanks a bunch!

If you want to use two fans on your h60 (which is a good idea for extra cooling), buy a fan splitter.

What i really found interesting, you build the radiator in front of the case. Never saw that before. Just curiosity, push or pull system?

AMD rocks :-) https://pcpartpicker.com/b/ZctJ7P also have a R9 270X with a FX6300 but put my radiator on back of the case. Have fun!

I kinda wish that ASUS would make a motherboard similar for that except for the new intel sockets.

How bright is the LED on the fan? I'm looking to invest in some of them.

Really nice Build. Have you had any issues with your SSD? I have the same one and it keeps loosing the bootloader. I've had to RMA mine. Hope the replacement doesn't have the same issues. Nice build nonetheless.

That's kinda sad to hear. I got the xlr8 pro due to the 5 yr warranty but it looks like they are not faring very well. I've started to switch all my SSD's over to Crucials. They've been solid so far with no problems.
