Perfect combo for value and performance. Everything fits nicely together in this build. You are able to save a few dollars if you cut the fat (aka: disk burner, wireless card). All in All about 100 bucks.
The extra Corsair case fans are not needed since the Fractal Design case comes with 2x120mm case fans factory installed. But I wanted extra cooling
Call me a sucker for Corsair fans but i really like them. Save yourself about 40 bucks and sick with the stock fans...or not.
Everything is super compatible in this build and the CPU/GPU fit each other perfectly, no bottlenecks that I have noticed.
Even with a 400W PSU if you do the math this rig runs well below 75% capacity. You couldn't upgraded this PC with bottle-necking the CPU or GPU anyways, and if your dropping money on a better GPU/CPU than whats in this build, a larger PSU isn't a big deal. I just don't like buying more than I need, Even if a better PSU its only 20-40 bucks more, maybe less/more.
Ryzen 3 1300X, awesome CPU...awesome stock fan, even good for mild OC. Probably won't need it.
Smooth running rig :)
Just go for the 1300X. I get it, you can OC the 1200 no problem to match the base clock of the 1300. but why? with an extra few bucks you can run the 1300 with a high base clock and boost clock with less stress.
She gets the job done, buy this and you can make up for the price difference between the 1200 and 1300X :) plus EVGA brand is solid.
