I wanted a cool name too though it's still not living up to it's name (at least for now).
Ran out of cash, because I live outside of US where electronics are much more expensive thx to <cough, cough> tax Vampires.
It's my first build, feel free to critique it. Made some stress tests and benchmarks and everything works just like it should.
Parts from sales: CPU, GPU, HDD
Keyboard - It's my first mechanical keyboard, for gaming its great though I wonder if I wouldn't prefer cherry brown switches, it took me about a week to get used to writing since its so sensitive even now sometimes i catch some not wanted letters cause I accidentally tap the surface of the wrong button, at least it's one of the cheapest mechanical keyboards on the market :)
If I had slightly more cash I would've gotten those parts:
|Motherboard||Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard|
|Storage||Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive|
The build is mainly for gaming, but I'm also gonna do a bit of video editing and as a computer science student I'm writing few multithreded programs and graphic editing work (Corel, Autocad, Maxon etc). I would say it's ~ 60% gaming to 40% work
PS. I had to pay to this 23% of Value Added Tax(VAT) so + ~$340.
Really good CPU, I have no problems with it. If I had a bit more cash for my PC I would go for i7-4790k, even if I didn't have any plans for OC (but would OC then by ~10%).
Over all worth its price.
Its simply great if I'm on my headphones unless I have complete silence in the room I don't even hear it working, and when I'm playing forget hearing it at all, plus it also has great cooling capabilities.
Definitely worth every penny spend on it.
Fine sturdy motherboard, I was a bit rough with it during the installation, but didn't break anything, its definitely a good piece of equipment.
Well its RAM and it does its job just as it should, nothing more to add on this part.
Simply marvelous, I just love when my Windows starts in less than 10 seconds :D
Very good HDD, no problems with it, in my opinion worth its price.
Works fine, but I got it a month before gtx970 went out and I would really prefer that one over this (its more powerful than gtx770 with similar price range).
Its very good case. It's simple, has good cable management (though it could use a little bit more space at the back). You need to remember to push the 8pin CPU power connector through small management hole at the top right before installing the MB (I unfortunately forgot).
Great PSU, no problems with it, really easy CPU management thanks to its half modularity. Mine even came with 10 zip-ties :D
Works fine, I've went and done unthinkable and got it over 7, there are few performance upgrades. It looks almost like 7 with proper software ("startisback"), thanks to it my windows launches straight to the desktop and I don't even have to look at metro (except when I want to change something in account setting etc), plus free update to windows 10 is coming soon.
It an amazing piece of equipment, no ghosting or any problems with it. Works really well for its price range, I'm thinking of getting a second one now :)
It's really comfortable mouse, I usually used lower profiled mouses up till now so it was a bit strange getting used to it, but now its hard to use a different one.
Still a bit pricey.
One of the best headsets I've ever used, microphone added to it also works great especially with the surrounding sound dampening, the foam was a bit though at the beginning, but over time it started fitting my head and its one of the most comfortable headphones I've used.
Definitely worth the price.
