Description

I wanted to build a very sleek and beautiful PC. I was debating between primarily white or black parts and eventually settled on black. I am VERY happy with my all black PC. Not only is it gorgeous and sleek, it performs amazingly. I mostly use it to play games like Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege. My frames are always very good on max settings even at 144Hz.

I was originally going to go with the h500i but soon realized, the NZXT N7 mobo comes with 2 led strips and has the fan controller built in. The downside is that NZXT uses CAM. However, I have only encountered minor issues with CAM that were easily resolved with a simple restart of the software.

I have always adored the Kraken series from NZXT because they're so elegant. The mirrored window where the logo is is gorgeous. I was originally thinking about buying NZXT AER RGB fans but frankly, they're very expensive and the case fans that came with the h500 already look nice with the all black PC so I figured, why bother?

For the GPU, I decided on the ASUS RTX 2070 O8G. This card was nearly $100 off on a sale on Newegg and had way better reviews than the Gigabyte Windforce 2070 which I was originally going to purchase. I'm happy with my sudden change of heart for my graphics card because this one performs very well right out of the box. It also has a nice black backplate with the ROG logo that is RGB.

That looks terrible. Like a 3 year old got a paint set and decided to screw up a pc. Plus, it's Linus so it's just annoying.

hey are you planning to add LED strips to your PC and change the colors to white? i was playing to go with the same exact designe, but with white LED strips. seeing as your cooler and ram are white as your color, white led strips might make it look better

I'm biased towards all black builds. Nonetheless, this is still super clean.

I think in-case lighting from an AIO/Air Cooler (RGB), RAM sticks, and video card are all that's needed for someone who wants an understated rig and illumination to show off the beautiful hardware. In my opinion, don't use any strips, and if you want lighting from your fans, you could use those Phanteks Halo covers with fans that perform way better than the stock Aer Fs.

Well done, sir!

Simple is better. Now if only NZXT would make some GPU's and RAM you could almost build an entire PC with their stuff. I use CAM as well, and from my experience, it is far superior to Corsair and Asus products. All software has issues when controlling so many things across various parts. It's really no fault of NZXT's, it's to be expected IMHO. Also, I love the all black. I did the same but ended up adding the HUE+ for dimmable white lighting and well, TBH, it turned into full blown RGB and then I bought 4 extra strips for behind my desk. I personally think CAM is great.

lol do you know about the NZXT mobo? it was absolute garbage. https://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Z370-Motherboard-Motherboards-N7-Z37XT-B1/dp/B078WS1NTR

the reviews are pretty bad. your right about making ram and a gpu, but a lot of ppl are surprised when they find out an nzxt mobo exists

Not doubting it was not the greatest being their first attempt. But 5 reviews on Amazon of all places... sorry, most reviewers on Amazon don't know the difference between seller/product reviews and most don't know **** to begin with. For example: One person bought this mobo for an i3 8100. Nuff said there.

Like I said, better than all the other software I have used.

Have you used asus and corsairs software to compare it? or any for that matter? So by your theory, since I dislike datamining, I am right back at my original comment of how all software designs that utilize these functions have problems, and in my opinion, cam is better than the other ones when you pair it with their products. Thanks for the input, but your opinion only reflects what you dislike, you are not a spokesperson for "people".
