I built this computer mostly for gaming as laptop was so bad flash games would incur errors & crashs. As for the build, I did what no man does, and "Tried" to follow a manual that was given to me..

Build went more or less OK, Slight panic plugging the power & reset in, Nearly plugged them in incorrectly, Was trying for a good 5 minutes trying to get them to go in the jspi1? slot" ended up bending the metal "hopefully nothing important?"

When mounting the AIO, thought my mobo didn't have enough headers for all the fans + Aio regrettably i spent over half an hour trying to figure out how i could run them all" was only after i started to cable manage that i noticed the Aio has it's own cable in the back.

Booting up had few problems Bought a copy of windows 8.1 from amazon "£94.99", worked for about 1-2hours before getting a pop up saying someone else was using this product code, So ended up running into town and buying a fresh copy of windows 10 which worked fined..

Updating programs - Some reason adobe flash wouldn't update to the latest version, kept downloading it but kept saying it was an out of date version, "fixed by reinstalling windows and it auto updated"

Game test - Bought fallout 4 "not sure if capped at 60fps" but played in ultra @ 60fps "occasionally drops 1-5frames entering new area's but 99.9% runs at 60. Also noticed that if i leave the game running for over an hour it crashes the game saying low memory "fallout 4" and closes it down. "Still happens can't find a fix for this" only seems to happen when my monitor goes to standby/sleep.

Part Reviews

Not really much to say here, it's the recommended CPU..

CPU Cooler

Decided to go with Water cooling because i have the tendency to leave my computer on 24/7 and didn't want it overheating, plus makes the whole build 100 times more beast :)

Not gonna lie i flipped a coin.. landed on heads.. tails was the ASRock z97, wanted the blue theme throughout

I'm not a corsair fanboy but i tried to stay consistent.. Mine has the blue plates but couldnt find them on the parts list.

It's a hard drive and it's blue.. what more can i say?

Video Card

I bought this card before doing research into other cards, probably would of bought the 1070/1080 if i knew, but it does what it's meant to "plays games in ultra at 60fps.. and thats all i wanted"

This case is a beast! I love this case, perfect for a first time builder imo, so much space and cable management is a breeze, only downside is that theirs no dust filter at the bottom, but you can get one from demciflex "which I've ordered"

Operating System

I wanted 8.1/7 but was forced into windows 10, so far though i'm liking it, very nice

Case Fan

Everybody needs go fast LEDS

Wanted a monitor with a small bezel and this is pretty much perfect. very sharp colour, downside i found is that sometimes i brush the touch button when switching on, and if you put alignment grid on your going to spend hours trying to figure out how to remove it but other then that really nice monitor, Love it's disk stand

I was planning to get the rgb strafe but when i tested the mx silent keys, i didnt like the feel so went with the k65, and dont regret it.. the size of the keyboard for me is perfect, mx red switches perfect!

This mouse bugs my ocd like crazy... Later down the line i will replace this mouse, it's abit to slow for my liking anyway.. for a £40 mouse though this is a great mouse to use.

Just using my old speakers, Again will replace these for some better quality speakers

whats your average fps for like overwatch and doom and games like that or is this not for gaming?

The MX279H only has a 60Hz refresh rate, so it tends to stutter and tear during fast panning or complex motion sequences of more than 60fps. The games are not capped, your monitor is. I would have gone with a higher end GPU though, maybe an RX470

Ahhh.. first time builder so still learning, and the GPU i Pretty much bought on a whim cause it was blue haha, If i knew/looked into gpu's i would of went with the gigabyte 1070 "which i'm planning to now upgrade to in a couple of weeks" & guess getting a new monitor aswell but i can dual a 60hz & a 144hz monitor Right? or would that still cause problems?
