This was my first real build that i did. Ive done matience and a gpu upgrade on my old computer but never a full build from the ground up.
i chose the ryzen 3 1300x because it just came out when i was planning this build and i wanted to try it out, seemed good. Its a great Cpu But i really should have gotten a 6 core with my gpu. Even though i have this, i really recommend going with the ryzen 1200.
This was one of the few big tower coolers that could fit in my case. works much better than the stock cooler. DOES NOT SUPPORT AM4 NATIVELY, but newegg was great and they sent me 4 of the brackets for some reason, i only paid for one.
Chose b350 for the overclocking capabilities, and msi cause it was on sale at the time and matched my setup
I actually have a ddr4 2400 1x8 stick for mine but it doesn't show up here, chose one stick for upgradability because the mobo only has 2 slots
STORAGE + OS
I had the Toshiba 1tb from my old computer already with windows 10 oem on it offered by CyberPowerPC so this was just easiest.
This one is funny, My friend and me both had 1050tis and me and him like to one up each other. may not have needed that much power but im not disappointed in its performance one bit and runs any gpu heavy game i chuck at it
CASE + PSU
Chose the case cause it had the three things i looked for. It was small, has a side window, and a 5.25 drive bay. I spent a little more on the power supply because it has all black cables so it looks very nice in the side window. The case and psu are great for cable management as well. Only thing is that i wish there was a psu basement/shroud
OTHER CASE ACCESORIES
i wanted red fans and the dual pack of these corsair ones were on sale for just under $15 so why not get them. Wireless card cause the io shield with the motherboard made the ethernet port inaccessible, works great for just $10. I actually have the Kinguin counterpart of the fan controller that i got a microcenter for $10. Works great and allows me to adjust the fans on the fly.
I love my red dragon keyboard for the Mx Blue equivalent switched and the red leds. I dont actually have the Red Dragon mouse but i do have the cyberpower mouse that comes with all their pcs, but is very similar to it. Finally the razer headset. Its nothing special, mic is pretty crappy and makes me sound like a 7 year old on a 5 hour energy, audio is pretty good though.
I got this a while ago when i didnt know much. paid 80 for it and has suited me well but i would like to upgrade to a 144hz.
Thank you guys for reading!
Great quad core processor, no problems yet.
Amazing tower cooler. Allows me to overclock my ryzen 3 to 4gz.
Great micro atx board with all the features you'll ever need, and for a great price! only problem is the bios, im used to asus so i think its just user error.
its ram, should have gone with 2666 for ryzen though. Red looks Great!
Great card, plays esport titles on ultra with over 100fps and triple a titles at medium around 60 fps
very roomy and looks great. Picky with cpu tower coolers.
its a power supply, not much to say. happy i splurged and got this one with the black cables
quite on a medium rpm but once it is on high it is very noisy like a jet engine
