Description

Well bored with my othe rone and how weak in comparison AMD FX processors are for general use built this.

Waited ages for this case and couldnt help but buy it in blue/black and not the common Reb/black, white variants.

Works like a charm. Its quick, twice as fast as my FX 8 core and soon to be housing 2 R9 280X next week when they come through the post.

Not benchmarked it properly yet but quick run of 3D mark shows the huge difference between this and and FX 8320.

Hopefully the Blue and Black look, is some people taste, didnt see many about at time when I bought it when first released in UK

Would recommend to not use fan hub on case though and use your motherboard connections as with top end boards you can adjust speed using voltage. The NZXT fans as standard arent the best for silence but corsair Quiet Edition on low RPMS and its ice col and quiet

There's really got to be a better way to say that!

Very nice build. Good part choices (even without the 2 280x's, this is still quite the powerhouse). Excellent job with the color coordination. +1

Thanks :) Have since replaced with 2 GTX 760's I got for £150. The 270X Vapor even fast out of box would not let me overclock it even by 10Mhz, ended up with crashes and Red Screen regardless of drivers. Guess its factory OC was the absolute max.

ALMOST a perfect color scheme. Can you hide the Transcend from view? A real nice build and the 280X will be a great addition.

Well done!

Did the easy job and peeled off the sticky label, now they are just black so blend in perfectly.

Does the case come with a dvd drive?

no one of the first cases to come specifically with no DVD option. I have decent external but I have never used a DVD in god knows how long. The worst thing about PC's upto now is that the manufacturers of DVD Drives never made a nice one, always stuck their white labelling on fronts and they always stuck out like a sore thumb. The only decent not in your face drive on market that can blend in with fornt of case is Pioneers Labelflash version as it all black. Same issue applied to my Corsair 750D, dont have a DVD drive installed int hat as its looks horrendous and ruins the whole of the front of the case

Hey, Hope you see this! im doing kind of the same build except with the z97 extreme4! Did you have any issues with installing the radiator at the top? it looks really close to the top motherboard heatsink? P.s looks amazing. nice job

Thanks, its a little bit of a squeeze but enough room and clearance on heatsinks. Just remember to locate all your fan headers, pretty sure the xtreme4 is same positioning, But best to wire everything up first including pump, fans, 8 pin EPS on motherboard then fit to top of case. Theres a good 5mm clearance form heatsink which you cant really tell form picture, but more than enough room, just plan and wire up first as you will not get to 8pin or fan headers if you put radiator in first.
