Description

This my second build ever and it's my first higher-end build. Both the build and setup went smooth as butter. Everything runs cool and quietly. I could not be happier.

Next up on my upgrade list: RGB keyboard, RGB fans, Hue + and eventually a real desk. I'll update once I add those.

Great build and choice of parts, needs a better desk than that $20 picnic table. Apart from that, +1 :)

I'm building one similar to this, but I'm having difficulty getting my case fans to operate at normal RPM. They seem to be very high. Around 900-1000 rpm. Where did you plug in your case fans AND kraken x62 fans? I have the same motherboard, cooler, and case which is why I'm asking you. Thanks for your help, mate!

For the case fans there are two headers on the mobo: CHA_FAN1 which is near the upper right corner and CHA_FAN2 which at the very bottom. Weird placement, I know. Whichever fan you plug into whichever header is up to you. It doesn't really matter.

For the kraken fans I plugged them in per the instructions that came with it: The AIO pump plugs into the CPU_FAN header and the fans plug into the provided headers. You can look here in steps 7 through 10 to see what I mean.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks very much! That is exactly what I was looking for. I've never seen that link before, either. Super helpful!

If you need a desk quick just use the box that the case came with and buy a bunch of bricks for some height

Then add some rgb lights everywhere and it will look great

Thanks! I actually lucked out and got the GPU for around $380 so I might need to change the parts list.

Oh dang bro... you forgot the rgb fans lol. But seriously... you could have gone cheaper with the gpu.

Hey quick question about the AIO Cooler (the NZXT Kraken) and your mobo/software.

I'm currently building a Asus Aura build and I'm torn between a Kraken and another AIO cooler that's cheaper and compatible with Asus AuraSync.

My question is: Do you mind having the CAM software and the Asus AuraSync, or would you prefer to have it controlled under one software? Does the CAM software replicate the colors that AuraSync can put out? Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would love to be able to control it all with one software package if I could. Both CAM and Aura produce beautiful colors, though, so I tolerate it. If you want to be able to control all the lighting under Aura, there are a lot of cool new products that are compatible, so it's not a bad idea. Hope that helps!

Woah there buddy, that's a little too high-quality for my taste.

A real desk is made with cardboard.

One of the many reason I got the quick silver. Getting it on sale was also a big help!
