Description

My first pc build ever. After a year of saving my precious money, I finally afford to build myself a good pc. This thing can max out on every game I throw at it in solid >60fps even greater. I was gonna go for an unlocked processor but my budget cannot afford the upgrade that's why I sticked with the i5 6500. Case is an InWin 303. Cheapest case w/ Tempered Glass window that you can find and it looks really good if you install LED fans on the top exhaust. It's a bit hard to manage the cable at the back but I forgive Inwin because the case just looks stunning.

What a price for such a beautiful Enthusiast case, seriously man that thing is poppin. Overall though, great choice of components. The B150 Gaming boards are beautiful and a great option if you never plan on upgrading to an unlocked processor. In fact, my next build will include a B150 Gaming version because I just rather stay with locked CPUs. I seriously can't get over the fact that this case is beautiful though, +1 +1 +1.

What type of games have you been playing? I want to go with the same CPU and GPU in my build, but I haven't seen benchmarks with the 6500 paired with the 1060. Awesome build btw.

I've been playing Withcer 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Tomb Raider, etc. It can max out all AAA tittles without a sweat.

How come the cost is only 650 and i get around 1300 from the list.?

Because some of his purchases, like the 1060 itself, are listed in AUD which don't get added to the total cost on pcpartpicker.

I live in Australia. PC parts are much more expensive here :(

Yyeah but you also have better salaries than US. In my country average wage is 500 euros/month with the 1060 pricing at 370 euros....That is a common thing in most middle east Europe countries btw.

Nice build! +1!

How's that GPU doing with no fans under it? I've heard it helps to have bottom mounted fans in that case. Are your GPU load temps from in-game or a stress test? And what's the ambient temps like? I assume if the CPU temps are 17C on idle you must be pretty cold sitting there...

Well it's winter here but not that cold. 7 degrees at night and around 15-20 degrees in daytime. I don't think having fans at the bottom really affect the temperature of the GPU that much unless you want it cooler whilst idle. BTW, I got the temps by running Firestrike multiple times,

Nice build mate! Good to see another aussie around here sometimes - I'm not alone in the struggles of budgets in Australia!

+1 for the parts and a sick lookin build.

I feel you man. Could've built something better if prices here is not inflated.

Wow crazy how similar this is to my soon to be completed build.. I only went with a HDD but i am planning on picking up an SSD later. Other than that i just had a different case and a Z170 mobo! Great build man!

Get an SSD bro. It's worth it.

why didn't you put 3 fans as intake on the bottom?

Well because the cpu and gpu temperatures were ok. I thought it would be a waste to spend more and put fans at the bottom. Maybe I'll get it later if the temps worsen in summer.

PS: I played on this system for a week without any fans installed and temperatures were just 3-4 degrees hotter.

Inwin 303: The only case where a mATX motherboard doesn't look out of place.

do the 2 GPU fans spin together at 60c? or only 1
