Description

I built this as my school/gaming pc and it’s a beast. You can see all the parts in the part list, but I got my 8700k overclocked to 5ghz at 1.31 volts using liquid metal to cool the cpu. This overclock on top of 2083 boost on the gpu provides me with a very enjoyable gaming experience. My temps are unreal because I have my 360 radiator set up with push pull fans that way I get as much airflow past the fins. I stay about 28 idle and 65 underload with my gpu teaching 75 in game. The gpu card in the part list isn’t exactly the one I got, I have the gtx 1080 zotac amp extreme, it’s a three fan 2.5 slot beast. Overall the build is really doing well with all games and staying very cool while in use which was my main goal because during school I stay in a small room

Let me know what you think!

why do you have you GPU mounted in the bottom lane? You're bottle necking it by doing so. I also have a pretty similar build with no issues having the GPU in the top lane. +1 though

That motherboard has 2 PCIE x16 lanes, so there's no bottle neck. I get what you're saying though.

Nice build! Thinking of doing something very similar myself, but just trying to decide on fan configuration at the minute, so searching for info. What way have you got yours set up?

  • What 3 fans in the front case compartment are you using to push through the radiator (from the pictures, it looks like you're pulling through the rad with the Corsair fans?)
  • Is the rear fan just the Phanteks 140mm that comes with the case? Exhaust?
  • I take it you have the 3 top Corsair LED fans as exhausts? Did you consider putting them above the pull out slot (as they're 25mm depth and apparently they would fit in the top area without doing the cutting mod)

Cheers

Sorry I took so long, but I have 2 140 mm highstatic fans pushing through the front radiator, and then 3 corsair 120 mm fans pulling on the other side of the radiator. Then i have 3 120 mm exasuts at the top of the case and a 140 m exasusts in the top back of the case.

I wish my build I'm working on looked like this. How are the speakers?
