Description

Short story first...

The last time I build a PC was 15+ years ago (AthlonXP 2000+ & GeForce 4 4200 Ti), then I had a MacBook by the time I went to university and finally an Asus ROG 750JX (i7+Geforce 770m), this one last me over 5 years playing mainly CS: GO and DOTA2. I also have a PS4 for gaming newer titles, but when it comes to shooters playing with a joystick is not for me. So I decide to go for a new build. I had to read a lot to get updated in new systems (this site helped me a lot)

I live in Chile but I bought some parts on Amazon on last Black Friday (that's why some prices are higher than what you would spect if you get all in the USA)

Part Reviews

CPU

Easy OC. With Kraken x62 running in performance mode temps peak at 65°C @4.9 GHz

CPU Cooler

I read a lot of reviews with problems with CAM Software.. So far none for me.

Motherboard

Nice looking and easy OC with Asus AI. With 2 clicks it is running at @4.9 GHz

Memory

iCUE software uses a lot of CPU in my opinion (4%) to just set the lights with the pattern you want.

Video Card

At first, I stay with the Quiet BIOS but it peaks 80°C with heavy load.. With Performance BIOS it stays around 65°C. Very nice looking.

Great build and all, but... why would you use razer kraken? especially an old model(no offense)

It is probably what he has. I mean I used a cheap wireless mouse for a long time for playing league. For shooters maybe sound matters more but having those is better than anything.

Hi i have a question for you, how do you like the 2080 strix? I've been thinking about getting one for my first build

So far very good... I can't compare it with other cards, but it performs as expected. It has 2 types of bios (which you choose with a small switch in the card). This control how de fans work. Also is good looking but very big, so be careful if it fits the case you are choosing.
