Edit: Finally upgraded to a 8700K and Asus Maximus X Hero! A little late, but for the price I got it for, it only made sense :). Running 5.0Ghz @ 1.35, almost stable 5.1Ghz @ 1.385. CPU temps maxed at 55C after half an hour of prime95 with a low fan curve. Of course, running the CPU delidded and a copper IHS from RockitCool.
Edit: Thank you for the feature!! It really means a lot to see my hard work appreciated by many!
This is my first PC build that I started planning in July 2017. Focused mostly around gaming and editing, I constantly found myself planning upgrades to fit my needs aesthetically and in performance. I initially started with an AIO watercooling system but chased silence without sacrificing performance. After months of researching, learning, and shopping, I finally pulled the trigger and did my first watercooling loop. I couldn't decide which color coolant to use, so I separated the components in the loop and just did both hahah. Definitely an overkill of a build, but ultimately proud of the work and time I've put into it to call it my own personal creation.
Some notes: I'm incredibly happy I bought my components like the GPU and ram before the fluctuation in price. You may only see 9 fans in the picture but there are 12; there are 3 underneath the case that I custom ran for push/pull configuration since air intake on the Lian Li case isn't optimal. Not pictured, but the CPU is delidded and I replaced the IHS with a Rockit Cool Copper IHS. Cabling was done by Ensourced Custom Accessories. The 1080 Ti maxes about 52 degrees Celsius while playing PUBG on almost all ultra settings at a 21:9 34" 3440x1440p monitor; FPS rarely drops under 100 under the balanced fan curve. If you understand the basis of the origin of Sad Machine, we can be best friends.
Hope you guys enjoy this build!
