Mostly a dream/future-proof build with gpu upgrade potential that'll hold me for a good while until new gpus release (~2020.) At which point I'll swap out the 5700 XT.
Gaming, streaming, in-home casting, game recording (for fun), and light video editing.
Wanted a case with enough space in case I wanted a watercooled system but I wasnt ready for that so I went with high airflow and flashy-flash!. Havent stressed the system too much yet but temps and noise have both stayed pretty low. Although black LL120's would have fit the build better, the white versions have a higher max rpm and I was paranoid about this CPU's temps since I'm not running a water loop. But in dark room I don't notice it at all over the LED's. All fans on balanced setting have a uniform woosh sound with very little humming for an overall light-medium to medium noise level under load. Quiet setting is super quiet but with temps creeping up to 60's. I leave Precision boost overdrive on with all 16 cores enabled and system has never gotten uncomfortably loud or warm and it only has stock thermal paste that came with the cooler on it! That'll be cleaned an replaced soon.
Overall very happy with the build and the parts. Although easy anti cheat was flagging and crashing games due to the adware that I installed from the motherboard's APP center. So Be WARNED: Don't download all that crap no matter how useful it may sound. Cable management took me multiple days to try and figure out with all of corsairs cables and hubs and whatnot.
I'm so giddy all the time at my desk. I will never get sick of looking over at my new rig. Just did it again... I smile every time.
