Description

A little over two weeks ago, my wife and I lost our second son to a miscarriage. This build is to honor him. It is a Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic White with all white fans. The fans have a halo looking effect to me, so I feel it's fitting to honor our angel son with this build.

Enjoy.

The second picture is the old build that I did 6+ years ago. I was new to building pcs and I had never heard of cable management...lol.

The third picture is from the Friday after the miscarriage. I only had 5 of the fans and the AIO had not yet been purchased. (Case Swap)

The first picture is from tonight. I am not 100% satisfied with the end result, but I know I will be switching out the mobo/cpu/ram in a few months time when Ryzen 3000 comes out. (Updating the case swap.)

Eventually, I will upgrade the mobo/cpu/ram.

It's not perfect, but it's mine.

I know that feel brother. You and your wife stay strong for each other.

Wonderful execution. It looks better than most of the new builds that are double the price. I can't wait to see what you do in your future upgrades.

Thanks, man.

The plan is to wait for Ryzen 3000 and upgrade after benchmarks. It will be a welcome upgrade.

Thank you very much.

We have our first son still, who is amazing to us in every way. I'll probably make a build based on him one day, too.

This just hit us hard.

Did the hyper 212 fit in the case?

The air cooler? It was a bit too tall for the case, so I ran it without the side on it...lol.

Good build, for a good reason. By the way, I'd move the first photo to the back, because it looks like the beautiful PC you built is instead, that one. +1, good luck and stay strong :)

Stuff happens, sometimes hitting worse than others, I hope you get better. Stuff like that absolutely sucks. Nice build though.

Wow, a build to honor a fallen family member? That is incredibly creative and cool, I have never seen anything where I can feel the passion. Bookmarked in my list of cool builds. Looks good and the price is decent, love the concept. +1

Thanks!

I got the idea from seeing a bunch of people over on LinusTechTip's forums and I talked to my wife about it.

She loved the idea when I explained the concept.

I saved a good chunk of money by reusing the mobo/cpu/ram, and the Titan X was won in a giveaway by a fellow streamer.

Yeah the rapper. I really like him. Makes it even better that he is Christian.

I thought that he didn't really classify himself as "Christian?"

Nevertheless, he is really good.

Amazing build with cable management better than I could ever do, and it's extremely clean. Stay strong friend. +1

Sorry about your son. Anyway, that's one hell of a bottleneck if you're using that GPU with your CPU at the normal clock.

I kept trying to put that I had OC'd it to 4.4ghz, but it's being janky.

I did have it at 4.6ghz, but it wasn't the MOST stable..lol.

Firstly, sorry to hear about your loss. The white halos are a fitting tribute (also, in some cultures, white is the color of mourning, not black) Also, did you choose a "Lian" case just because of the name? Only curious.

Secondly, what are you doing for storage?

Actually, I had picked out the Lian-Li case long before we even knew we were pregnant again. A happy coincidence?

Storage, I have a 250gb Samsung ssd and a 1tb HDD.

Don't remember the models or the brand for the HDD.

Whenever I upgrade the cpu/ram/mobo, I will add a larger HDD for more game storage.
