Description

My new gaming rig! Well, and reddit rig. Need those dank framerates and horsepower for reddit you know?

Anywho, the build was slowly put together over the course of 6 months. Some money could have been spent better. Such as the 1800x. But, that's what I get for pre-ordering! Also, the Vega 56. I bit the bullet with the inflated prices. I really wanted a 1440p 34" at 100hz w/ adaptive sync. The Nvidia offering in the end would have been more expensive. Yes, I could have gotten a 1070 or 1080 for in the same ballpark as the 56. BUT, the Pixio was the deciding factor. Even with vega 56 inflated price It still came out to be less.

Clean build here with a beautiful setup here. How are you liking EK's Fluid Gaming kit? I have the A240G along with 360mm rad on a Core P3 Red.

I love it soo far! As soon as EK comes out with the vega aluminum waterblocks I'm going to get one. Also upgrade to the 360 rad. Hopefully in the coming year or so they come out with hardline fittings. Would love to do some nice clean bends.

Have you tried any coloured coolants in your build yet? I'm considering the pastels from Mayhem.

I hope so too because hardline tubing will make any build cleaner.

And yes, I'm only using EK's Navy Blue Cryofuel coolant and you probably can use Mayhem coolant too. I would just keep an eye on what materials they use on their coolant, just to be safe lol.

so with the 1800x would you drop it to the 1700 or the x or just go intel?

If I were to do it over, I would go with the 1700. Can OC to get the same/similar performance as the 1800x for significantly less $$.

And here I am with a 1700 wishing I had gone with an 1800x

How are your settings and frames with games on that Monitor with the Vega 56. I'm thinking of getting something similar. Really great build!

On some online retailer (amazon / newegg) it says the GPU has a length of 283 mm. Thermaltake's manual says the GPU should not exceed 280mm. Was it difficult to place your GPU and the rad in the p3?
