Description

I use this machine for gaming, video editing, photo editing, developing and browsing. It was a fairly smooth build, despite a small issue with the installation of the cooler - which I quickly resolved.

The case is a H440 Hyper Beast, which is limited edition with only 1337 units being made. I have number 1187.

Some of the parts (GPU, PSU and storage drives) were all from my old PC with everything else component-wise being new.

Very cool! A hyper beast case with beast components! NZXT is going to be my next computer case because they think of everything.

Thank you! I absolutely love the case, and not only because of the Hyper Beast design. The PSU shroud makes cable management especially easy and it's nice and quiet.

Thank you! Unfortunately it was a limited edition and sold out quite quickly after release. Though the regular H440 is still available.

Does your HDD LED flicker? It's the LED next to the power LED if you take the top off. I just need an idea of how to mask it.

  • 2 points

No, it just stays off. You could just unplug the HDD LED connector if flickering is an issue.

  • 1 point

Great idea. I didn't think of that. Going to do that right now. I wonder why it flickers though. Possibly the LED?

  • 1 point

no it flickers when something is being written to the hdd

  • 1 point

I know it flickers when it does that, but it does it, weirdly. It just kind of dims and brightens weird while it flickers, just didn't have a good way of describing it. Unplugging it was what I did.

Love the Dark Rock Pro 3, I want to use that on my next build.

Thanks, and will do! The Dark Rock Pro 3 is a awesome cooler, though a nightmare to install.

Yeah, I've heard about trouble with installation, but I know it's worth it considering how awesome the cooler is :)

You got to get the Steel Series Rival 300 Hyperbeast edition mouse!

I would, but I love the ergonomics of the MX Master.

Oh that's understandable, it's a great mouse, my friend has one. But that hyper beast skin would make your build complete... may as well grab one for display if you got the cash haha

For my taste is distributed badly memory and also for gaming and that budget would have to have an intel core i5 sixth generation and a gtx 1050 ti or 1060.

Well, I didn't buy most of this stuff at once - the GPU, PSU and storage drives were all purchased years ago, but I moved them over from my previous PC.
