Description

Currently she likes Minecraft and Roblox, but wanted to give her something that would last long enough for me to eventually upgrade my 8 year old machine :-p

Already getting your daughter used to playing on an SSD? +1 for good parenting!

I have a slew of old drives I can throw in there is she needs space. Though at least for the meantime 120 GB should be plenty sufficient, I think!

There's so much room for activities in that case! Room for growth to become a PC junkie?

+1 for nice build

When it comes to teaching your kids I supposed it doesn't hurt to go with your strengths :-p

LOL. This looks a lot like my daughters computer. Except she has an 860k and 270x. All she plays is minecraft on her 60gb ssd and watch youtube. +1 for giving your daughter the gift of pc gaming. Now get her a Steam account and gift her some games.

Eh, older dads really don't seem to get into gaming.

The only game he likes to play is a game called Total Annihilation and some others. I used to play with him but now we can't seem to get MP to work.

I grew up a gamer, so I'm hoping my daughter continues to want to play with me!

Nice work, I'm sure she appreciates it. I had a lot of fun gaming with both my kids while they were growing up.

Nice build. I've been wanting to build my own as my daily work computer nothing to intensive just internet browsing mainly. And then use it as my Plex server and run a few console emulators. I was looking at this or the g4560

Nice. I did a similar one for my 7-year-old a couple weeks ago. Looks like you got a lot of computer in here for the money, and it's a clean-looking build. Hope she enjoys it!

Was hoping to put a machine together for half as much, but I could only convince myself to skimp so far lol. It was unfortunate that my old power supply kicked the bucket a few minutes in cause that bumped the overall cost by about 15% :-(

Nice work dad! My oldest is six and I'm working on a similar project so we can learn minecraft together. This is cool to see.

Just found this from the A60 speaker review. Great build lol

+1, despite this build being rather old and that you probably won't read this ;D

Did the 2400mhz ram work on that board out of the box?
