Description

i have already paid for 8700k. but i dont have it as yet, i7 will arrive by 1st November. so at the moment is i3 8100. also i will be changing power supply for 1000. as it looks like 860 wont be enough lol

this PC have 3 x radiator and cooling is amazing. GPU i did stress for 5 h. long and result below

GPU overclock 2056 on clock 120 % power delivery + 600 MHz on memory

1 GPU 39c 2 GPU 46c

i am very happy with this. will see how it going to work once my i7 8700k. arrive and overclock to 5ghz

MSI Z370 so far not happy at all. due fan and pump control don't work. i have install command center from msi software and dont matter what speed i change for. will run on 100% not happy, i been using Asrock for years and looks like i will come back to asrock also this utility from msi are made to be pretty not practical at all. i have also try on bios and is same. will update bios and hope this will help

i think once CPU arrive i will buy asrock motherboard and will add another 16gb ram

this is extreme watercooled system with overkill components in the system currently 3 x radiator 2 x 360 1 x 240

3 x pump 1 x pump res combo 220 mil 1 x pump res combo 100 mil barrow pump + res 260 mil

if i would have more room i would put another radiator. i may buy bigger case. i use this case as had this case brand new in garage for a long time so i decided to get use of it.i also bought this i3 as i relay wanted to test the gpu once i7 arrive i will put this i3 for another build. maybe for sale maybe for my son i don't know yet

my thoughts

if you are looking to build water cooled system i will give you advice. take your time don't rush ! when i build this one i build loop around without pc parts inside. it took me around 18 h to build this one day i spend 3 h. one day 6 h. one day 1 h. one day 30 min.etc did not rush at all. and i have to say this helps, this is not the first time when i made water cooled one , but i have to say when i took my time i enjoy build much more. one thing i hate about water cooling systems is GPU thermo pads protection film this is pain one side comes out very easy another one are pain (you need grow your nails to do it )

I'm planning on building something pretty rediculous too in the next few months, if you want a bigger case that will fit everything you've got, try the Thermaltake Core X9 or X5 series, they are MASSIVE and budget friendly! :)

Although if your budget is as infinite as it looks, maybe you could go with CaseLabs and get something even better.

Nice stuff! This is most likely off topic but is the 8700k the absolute best for gaming at 4k or 5k resolution with 2 gtx 1080 TIs in sli? I'm still waiting for 4k sli benchmarks for 8700k...

so if you have at least a 4790k or even a couple steps below, you should still be fine, and i wouldnt upgrade. i was considering the same thing, i wanted a new MOBO a the 8700k and to redo my watercooling loop. However, some 4k benchmarks are out, ANNNDDDD its super dissapointing...wah wah.. wahhhhh.....the new processors can increase speeds in 1080p up to 30%!! in 1440, up to 7%, and in 4k resolution, up to 2%.......Big whoop. In most cases, it was no increase whatsoever. People running multiple 1080tis do see slightly better increases, as its the GPU's which are the bottleneck, not the CPU's when talking about 4k graphics. So i would not suggest an upgrade unless you are like this guy (the_naked_nerd above), and have a ton of money to burn. Then go for it

Yeah, 4k resolution benchmarks for single gpu builds show pretty much no increases for 8700k but with 2 gpus in sli supported games, I just need 100% confirmation to ease my OCD lol. I'm assuming it won't make a difference but I just need to see it haha

is not about money mate if somone loves new technology like i do he will do it , is not just about games and extra fps new platform comes with other upgrades and benefits for system and you don't have to have tons of money to do it, anyone who is working person can take pc parts on finance and some people spending that kind the money on holidays i prefer put this money on my system , SLI is personal choice and if you need SLI is depends what you doing thanks

I have the same motherboard, have you had any problems with the onboard audio? Mine packed up with the last big Windows update, my temp fix is a usb adaptor.

I could swap the board out but rather save all the stress and put in a half decent quality sound card
