Description

I use this computer for CAD, rendering, gaming, and daily use.

Part Reviews

CPU

12/10/19 An exceptional processor. Even on the stock cooler, I can overclock it to 4.2ghz @96c. I got a Cinebench score of 5052. I hope to get an AIO cooler or a better air cooler to make better use of the chips full potential.

Motherboard

12/10/19 No problems thus far.

Memory

12/10/19 Dual-channel config. Very nice to go from 8 gbs @ 2400 to 16gbs @ 3333. I believe when I installed them they preset to 2166 speed. But I overclocked them to 3333mhz and they are performing nicely. Currently, I feel as if I've overbought because chrome only utilizes 5.8gbs, but I guess I'll see if I made the right purchase once I'm back on Autocad.

Storage

12/10/19 sofar so good

Storage

12/10/19 Not only is this my first SSD but also my first NVME M.2 SSD. MAN IS IT A STEP UP FROM MY WD BLACK. Fast, not full, (yet), looking forward to loading cad like snaping my fingers.

Storage

12/10/19 For an old, drive I got for Christmas that sat in my cousin's trunk for a year this old drive has been very good to me for the two years that I have had it. But because I, nor the previous owner know how old it is I will be buying two 2Tb SSDs by next summer. 1 to back up this drive and the other for new save files.

Video Card

12/10/19 What can I say? It's team red's latest and greatest GPU. (being an Rx card that's not saying much, but Navi is making great strides.) Old, bad blood aside this card preforms exceptionally well at stock. I know that it is marketed for 1440p but the best I could afford/wanted in a monitor was 1080p. Speaking of which, I guess Code Vein is well optimized for this card because @1080p all settings max I was getting an average of 240fps. Absolutely beautiful. In older titles like Grimm Eclipse, I got an average of 65fps, which I found extremely odd seeing as my rx460 put out 99fps in that same title at the same specs. Then in another older title, Kirita REBOOT I was getting 100fps avg.

If I had one complaint it would be that the card's fans don't seem to respond to Msi afterburner, or at least the temps aren't responding to the 100% fan curve. I had heard that it was a hot card, but three fans and still no reduction in temperature?

Case

12/10/19 --4 fans, decent cooling - kept the system temp between 34 and 36 Celcius. --Easy access drives, plenty of room to route and stuff cables. --PSU has plenty of clearance on top but where the cables come out was a little tight and awkward. Don't get me wrong, my cables are fine and th PSU was not difficult to install, I just didn't look as easy as the guys on YouTube make it seem. I had to put the PSU in at an angle and keep my fingers on the modular cables to make sure that they didn't come out.

Good build. Quality choice in GPU. The 5700 XT looks like a great GPU. The Gigabyte model is supposed to be good aswell.

The review from Gamers Nexus said it was the best balanced 5700 XT.

It's a really nice build..!! I ordered the same motherboard but with the Ryzen 3600 and RX 5700 XT Sapphire Pulse cuz Sapphire is the cheapest in my region. I have a question: did you upgrade the motherboard or it can runs the 3000 CPU's with out an update/with out problems? cuz its' a B450 and I'm a little bit confused 😬

12/17/2019 I have had no problems thus far, then again I haven't had it that long. I'd say pick it up and if it dies before the warranty expires then take out the warranty.
